Houston didn't get hit nearly as hard as the rest of the country and the only reason anyone is unemployed here is because you don't want to work so has helped with housing as well.

One of my server techs is from Houston area, and more a less said the same as you.

There are plenty of jobs around, and only those too lazy are out of work for the most part. I guess between the established business, and some of the expansions there is jobs o' plenty.
