So my .xxx web site is currently being developed

Who else has theirs in the works? My project should be complete in about a month with 100% unique programming and design in order to stand out from the rest.

Havent thought about monetization yet and will be more focused on acquiring a user base in the beginning.

I have 12 sites now, they all rank really well for the keywords I want.

Just need to figure out now how to make a buck from them.

I have 4 .xxx domains. I'm trying to fund their development through adult sales. I work as an affiliate both in mainstream and adult, but currently make far more in mainstream, I've also worked in mainstream for far longer, so it's to be expected. As soon as I can fund the development through my adult sales, they will be on there way. Hopefully sooner than later!

Around 40% of my clients are asking for .xxx domain designs.
A bit unexpected

Someone name one se phrase that does not include xxx and ranks on page 1 for google and is YOUR recently purchased .xxx.

If your search term includes xxx in search term it is worthless.

one advantage i see is that despite their claims, google still is giving some seo benefit to emds, and xxx opened up a bunch of new ones. you will start seeing plenty of xxx's on the first page for the big terms once the seo work is put in and takes effect. seo takes time you know.

I'll stick with .coms

It's the way that this tld opened, the ludicrous prices, and the fashion in which in was marketed. Selling "Fear" instead of value.

Game? Can somebody with real answers explain to me what .xxx has done to help the industry to date, bearing in mind they exist, having been in planning for years, in action for months and had already had billions of $$$?

It isn't about the price for me, $100 is fine, but it's about legitimacy, it's like I go to the bank with 3 ccbill cheques every week, plus any other affiliate cheques I get, they charge me £5.50 per cheque which equates to a minimum of £858 per year in charges, yet they want to charge me a further £15 a month to have a standard UK current account, it's all just a goddamn fcking scam, that if you let happen will.

It's about time somebody with respect and knowledge stood up and laid down the law, instead of another Mallick type scammer, raping the industry of the few opportunities that are left!

Is there actually anybody here who 1. knows what they are doing, 2. can make things better, 3. stand up and be counted!??

I'm not sure why it matters if ICM helped the industry or not. It's an extension that was marketed cleverly and made tons of money. Just as any other business who tries to market their product to make money, that is what ICM did, and very well.

However, there was a thread not so long ago that pointed out two .xxx sites with pirated content on them. In less than a week, one site was a parked page and the other had all of the pirated content removed. When has a .com ever done that without a DMCA, hell, even with a DMCA some don't remove anything.

If the industry needs or wants help, they would ban together and lobby for change, not rely on a new extension to be their savior. All this hate for ICM and .xxx is ridiculous in my opinion, and I'm glad that I realized how ridiculous it was and grabbed myself some domains before it was too late.

I have a studio, I pay rates of 3k a year, insurance of 3k a year, electric & now in the UK, we have to pay money for licencing for adult sites.. why the fuck should I pay an extra $100 a site when I own 16 pay sites!

That's another grand a year! no way, they rip people off, considering it's free to make a .xxx, it's just a made up thing in the existence of the internet! A communication!

Please tell me... I asked before but will do again.

Tell me how your search engine traffic is so awesome and you are making so many sales...

http://www.18kin.xxx/

That's your site that you are backing your statements of me sounding like a fool... right?

Tell me oneclick... how many sales from being the #1 result for 18kin xxx???

My point... if you haven't figured it out... is searches for the "original" term is worth something. If you have to add XXX to the search term... it is almost worthless. Even the biggest search term out there... "porn"... only gets 33,000 monthly US searches if you add XXX to it.

Obviously any site can be SE'd to rank well... but having a .XXX tells me that 1) You fucking gave in to an extorting fucking TLD and 2) you don't have many domains because a 10X+ domain price per year increase...

IS...

A big deal to many

You dont have a clue how many or few xxx domains i have.
And if you really think porn.xxx is worth shits you really need to read up on domaining and seo a little more.

33k searches for porn xxx? And you think they arent buyers?
Au contraire, i'd say you have some laser targeted clients right there.

You are amongst those that think people searching for "free porn" cant be turned into big money either?

Im sorry man, but ive been running/managing/seo-ing/developing tubes on multimillion dollar domains. And believe me, done right they are killing it.

No matter if it would be porn.xxx freeporn.xxx or webcams.xxx etc. Its about the keyword, not the extension perse when you know what you are doing.

Would you say no if someone came over and said: here you can have my porn.xxx domain?

I dont think so.

Even the domain itself would already sell for 100x the normal regfee if they asked 100.

In a year, we will look back at this thread.. See lots of hq keyworded .xxx in the results and big companies owning it up there.

Theres ultrabad keywords on any extension..

I

Building a site on a .XXX is like building a storefront on overpriced swampland. It doesn't matter how well you build your .XXX site, if no one (besides you) will ever come to visit it. .com is king and always will be king. Businesses have spent many billions of dollars and euros marketing their .com brands over the last 15+ years. Plenty of new TLDs (post 2000) have come along with claims of being the next great thing, with each only proving to be a miserable flop. Just look at the absurd claims of .mobi when it was launched and the ridiculous amounts of money fools lost buying .mobi domains, after .mobi crashed and burned.

Not having thought of a monetization plan was simply throwing your money away. Don't be a fool. cut your losses now while you're ahead.

.xxx is overpriced , but your analogy isn't very accurate. A surfer has little concept of what purpose a tld serves or cares what tld they are on , other than remembering the site name..

.com by default is going to be the best tld because more people know about it, so whatever domain you have inevitably a surfer will use .com by mistake..

Some tld's like .info have a reputation for having cheap sites because they are cheap domains, but other than the obvious tld's ( .edu , .com) to a surfer all domains are the same.

The only ones who would see .xxx as swampland are adult webmasters

google has already said .xxx will be seen as equal to .com there is no difference in traffic. If we both started gis7fyifiu.com and .xxx we would both get roughly the same traffic if we both had the same content ( in theory ).

One benefit to .xxx will be if we had the same content i get one more word in the description being .XXX means porn .COM doesn't mean anything. This detail while very small will likely result in my site getting more clicks from google and thus move up the ranking above you , thus increasing clicks even more.

no but they know theres a shitload of cheap sites on .info

.info was/is haven for spammers so you end up getting a combination of email spam with .info , seo spam with .info , comment spam etc a surfer tends to notice this.

.info was too low .xxx is too high

i think the idea was if they price high you will get more quality sites, thus a surfer thinks "quality" when he see's .xxx Cheap domains means alot of se spam and circle jerks because you only need to make $5 to pay for the domain.

yes but a surfer has no idea a .info is "cheap." that's a webmaster thing.

Au contraire, i'd say you have some laser targeted clients right

Even the domain itself would already sell for 100x the normal regfee if they asked 100.

In a year, we will look back at this thread.. See lots of hq keyworded .xxx in the results and big companies owning it up there.

Theres ultrabad keywords on any extension..

I
I would say you bought 4 .XXX domains.

Never said porn.xxx is the shits, actually think I said it is the best .xxx out there.

You realize 33K is per month, right? Also, that is so not laser anything.

So you say even if they sold porn.xxx for 100X the reg fee if they asked 100? Ummm... what does that mean? Did anyone buy porn.xxx? What did they pay? Because 100 X 100 equals $10,000. Are u telling me if owner of porn.xxx sold for $10,000 he would be making a killing?

I honestly think you have absolutely no clue what your fingers type.

I honestly think you never managed a big website, did any major seo, have a clue about domaining, or even had a chance to analyze websites ranking top 3 in google for a major keyword.

No offense.

Those where serious questions?
I mean, seriously?

Lemme answer 1 for you now: 33k exact matches for something like, lets say "porn xxx". You think thats not a laser targetted audience? with a potential to make a nice stack of cash each month?

If you cant do it with that, i wonder what sites you own or what kind of experience you have, if any at all.

Did you ever manage a website with a major keyword in the top 3 of google? Had a chance to analyze those keywords? I dont think so..

If you cant sell shit to 33k people searching for porn xxx or aby of the top 5 keyworded .xxx's you should really consider getting a real job or learning some basic stuff. Get some experience.

I bet you think people searching for "free porn" are a waste of time too right?

Maybe you should read what im saying before you jump to any conclusions, think about it, then make some smart remarks.

Oh btw i dont really get the "oneclicktube" you keep posting as if i had to be ashamed if anything. That site made $34k a month in its peaks, hardly anything i should be ashamed of.
