I come from the school of thought that when cops shoot, they shoot to kill... not to slow you down. And if you lunge at the police, they've got guns, and they have waited their entire fucking life to use them on someone... and they will take that opportunity when it presents itself. It's not necessarily about safety...

And to this idiot who thought swinging a crowbar with an axe / pick attachment was a bright idea... well...
