I guess the one I really like ( it works great on CF cards)
is Image Rescue currently they at version 3.. and i know the older versions used to be free.. you trying to get pic of a hdd or a cf card? |

photorec I think it's called, and testdisk. Command line, no pretty GUI, but very effective. Did someone say backup?
