Latest Flash update breaks fullscreen mode

Anyone else noticing that the most recent Flash upgrade has screwed their fullscreen mode? I've noticed this in every browser on 2 computers (except firefox which I dont allow to upgrade automatically, therefore it's fine).

On my laptop I initially did a system restore thinking I'd screwed something up and didn't care to fiddle around with it. Naturally that worked perfectly and I simply didn't install the Flash update. But.. Chrome doesn't prompt you, it simply upgrades the in-browser version to the latest. So once again, fullscreen mode doesn't function properly. There's lots of artifacting, and way worse it pauses and skips ahead and the audio does not come close to sync'ing up. Also when you pause, the vid will play another couple of seconds before pausing.

This is the Flash support forum, right?

Now in Chrome you can go to chrome:plugins and disable the latest version and use the clunky junky version. It crashes often on youtube, and doesn't fully cache which I often prefer as I can then disregard the flash player entirely.. which leaves me stuck enabling and disabling depending on how I want to view.

I could use some help figuring out #1) how to prevent chrome from auto-updating flash, which doesn't seem possible.. OR #2) how to install an old working version of flash manually (to chrome), so I can then select it.

Anyone else dealing with this nonsense? Thanks.

Well, Chrome updates it's in-browser version regardless of the stand-alone "an upgrade is available" message you get from time to time when you boot up.

chrome:plugins will report version 11.2.202.228 if you have the most recent. This is the release that appears to be broken in fullscreen mode.

last flash update was terrible on chrome. it would break constantly, i wrote feedback to chrome complaining, couple chrome updates later it runs more stable. never had any issues with full screen, just random "oops" flash crashes

edit: if i remember right i think the flash update i had to install separately from chrome updates

Yep, bad mojo on Chrome. I noticed it mostly on AlJazeera english. The controls disappear below the task bar when you go into full screen. The only way out of a video was to right click and select "About..". Lame.

Bumping to see if anyone has found solid solutions for these recent Adobe flash issues? Another flash update from adobe yesterday, and now flash wont run correctly even in windowed mode on firefox here today.
