Best show I've been to was DMB in Central Park. It was just amazing being around 100K+ people for that show. Next was probably Billy Joel. He does like 3+ hour sets and explains each song. Tells you when and why he wrote it. Awesome.

RATM puts on a great show. I use to see them all the time when they came around. Zac was awesome on stage.

I understand why you guys choose the older guys in the biz...
these days most bands/artists can only sing with the help of a computer that corrects their flaws... so when they perform live you better get some earplugs

Muse however... saw them 3 times in concert... everytime it is epic... these guys have a phenomenal live sound...

SLAYER/Megadeth/Anthrax (I couldn't make the big 4 show, otherwise that would have probably been it)

I also saw an incredible outdoor show with Fight (Rob Halford's band when he left Judas Priest), Suicidal Tendencies, Metallica (just after Black album came out) and Candlebox...ok, Candlebox sucked hard, but not enough to derail an amazing show.

Another great show White Zombie, Testament and Fear Factory in '98

the wall show roger waters is doing is quite good. definitely up there. another great show was seeing hank williams iii in a small club here in ottawa. he does three sets, one country, one hard rock and one full on speed metal. just him and his band. no fancy sets or anything.

100% agreed, as someone who goes to a lot of concerts Muse is hands down the best live act I have ever seen.

Roger Waters, The Wall. The Who's 1980 tour, right after Keith Moon passed. Van Halen's first tour, summer of '78. The English Beat (W/ opening act Bow Wow Wow) Spring of '82, Wilco's show at the Greek in Berkeley in 07, Johnny Thunders in '85, The Dead Kennedays (that same year), and I stood outside ASU's Activity Center in '91 cause I didn't want to pay a scalper $40 to see Soundgarden and Nirvana open for The Chili Peppers...but I could still hear it from the curb!

Saw White Zombie in the 90's, and I see Rob Zombie every chance I get. He's touring with Megadetth rich tnow and I'm hoping they bring the show to Montreal, or even better, that they join the http://heavymtl.com festival this summer.

saw rem in buffalo on their monster tour, wasn't a fan at the time i just wanted to see the warm up band radiohead ;)

rem is one of my favourites to this day, may never have given them a chance if it weren't for that show.

Saw paul mcartney last summer in detroit... damn.. the guy played 44 songs.. including every beatles song he ever sang, and a few more he didn't.. not even a water break for that guy.. truly amazing show.

Recently, I saw The Flaming lips and Weezer at Jones Beach, NY. It was a near monsoon when the show started, and both bands shared the stage to do a Black Sabbath cover. The rain stopped after about 15 minutes, and it was just a great show.

All time best would be Smashing Pumpkins in 1994.

Rush (obviously), 311 and Iron Maiden. I saw Roger Waters back in the day on his Radio K.A.O.S. tour with Jim Ladd along as the DJ, that was fricken awesome.

Every Grateful Dead show ever and ongoing because it is the show without beginning or end from which you may come or you may go and yet always it gets you... There.

Right There. Where you need to be.

That's very hard to say, and very ecclectic

Tool live blew my mind for sure

Black Sabbath original line up

Prince live (yes I'm a huge fan)

Biggest surprises were Ten Years After in 2004 - old school Woodstock legend with a new lead frontman - by far an all time Top 5

Another massive suprise was Yngwie Malmsteen in Vienna 2005 - thought that the guy is a pure ego maniac and was there more out of curiousity, but the concert was actually all about the band and all for people - an amazing show.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, (At around about 1992) it was the first time i'd heard of them at the time and i've been a fan ever since. It was the Reading Festival and they were followed by Nirvana, who although i was a fan at the time, gave one of the worst performances i've ever seen a band make, people were streaming away in droves.
