Hi,

Was wondering if anyone had any metrics handy for the pros and cons of streaming video (VOD) via a CDN. Google searches have unfortunately let me down and I really need some data for or against video streaming via a CDN.

If anyone here does stream video via a CDN, what streaming server are you using? What CDN are you using? Do you have some test files that I could have a look at?

Anything really in terms of views and opinions will be very handy.

Hosting companies, people using CDNs, any one who has looked into using a CDN, all your opinions and suggestion matter.

We would be happy to discuss our CDN offerings with you as well as providing you with a test URL that will allow you to test local delivery from our network compared to those same files on the CDN network. We can also go over the pros and cons with you. Many of our customers are utilizing the CDN and are a very pleased with the performance

Hi Bill,

I'm not JUST looking for static file CDN, but more importantly one that allows streaming media using a media server (FMS, Wowza, Red5, etc.). I am not looking for pseudo streaming but the ability to stream VOD to PC, iOS devices and other Android and tablet devices using true streaming.

Is this something you offer?
