We have one hot girl who would like to have her own porn website. All content will be produced by us, but we don't know steps to do it legally. So, can someone please help? What about 2257, ID shots and stuff? Model is a US citizen. We need to produce pics & videos. Thanks ![]() Regards, Peter |

Hi,
The first step is if she is of age, you are fine. |

building just a website and shooting any old porn is a sure way to lose money...if you want to make money you should really offer something special that will be distinct from everything else on the market that is being dished out for free by the truck load on tubes...

I have found solo girl sites make shit money with two exceptions. First is if the girl is very, very famous, and even then that might not work for your wallet. The second way is if she is willing to get on her blog and go crazy flirting and getting to know her future customers. Not many girls are willing to put in the time that is involved in this. Anyway good luck!

So says a retired Brit photographer based in Prague. No matter how the Philadelphia case turns out, Paul Markham knows he'll never encounter a Section 2257 inspection nor get arrested for the creation or distribution of obscene materials under American law. Talk is cheap. Unless you plan to emulate Paul Markham's business model, and locate several thousand miles away from US authorities, hire, consult with, and keep a relationship with an attorney. It's foolhardy in the extreme to do otherwise. There are are men still serving prison terms for their activity in this industry in Florida, and dozens more, about which no one has ever written in the trade publications, who beat a hasty retreat out of adult production and publication under law enforcement investigation. This industry is filled with scams designed to separate you from your money under the illusion and pretense of value that does not exist. It is filled with piracy and sharp dealings. Your post is filled with fear and derogatory statements towards the industry. The people still serving prison terms, did you represent them? |

Also being actively involved won't help much if you arent driving them the traffic and members in the first place, they have nobody to interact with. and they won't stay interested in doing them for such small groups and seeing no extra revenues. Have to bring in a large amount of members for them quickly in order to keep them interested, the slower things move, the quicker/more chance you lose your model The majority of customers are there to download photos and videos and peace out. If they were more interested in cam, they'd be on MFC/Streamate, etc watching their favorite girls for free. Theyre finding these solo girl sites through picture/video sites

Can't trust any model to stay involved unless they've already been involved for many years. Its a rare thing for sure. I shoot everyday until i get to the 1-2 years of content mark, then launch. Then her staying is a bonus

Do yourself a favor and save yourself a ton of money by trying out being an affiliate for a year or two. If you can make that work then along the way you'll also learn all that you need to do.
Having a hot girl is the smallest and least important part of the equation. |

Be very mindful of this. They almost all bail at some point. You can get very heavily invested setting up an affiliate program, a CMS, many, many hours of, then she loses interest. Featuring a lot of "friends" in the same niche my provide you an out when she's done. Paul has a point about production. Shooting porn legally is one thing. Shooting professional porn that will SELL against all of the competition is quite another. Thousands of people are trying produce better porn than you, many of them full time professional shooters. I'd never dream of doing my own production. I did accidentally sell some content I shot just for fun, but photography and the associated production and post-production work is an art and science itself.

I'd be concerned if as an industry attorney he said "compared to the number of people in the business and the millions of sites out there, you're probably safe if you get sloppy." |

The replies to my post are correct.
Also, don't do it if all you want to do is film a chick bang herself in front of you. You can find that on craigslist for way less then what'd you put into the site with time and money. I will never ever do a solo girl site again. Unless it's me and the wifey...hmmm... |

Getting a great girl to work well, shoot content that's so unique people have to join her site and stay a member, then find affiliates who can drive decent traffic are far tougher. Making it all profitable is the toughest. Then there's the problem of keeping her and funding it. The legal bit is the easy part. The days of pointing a camera at a girl, putting up a site, having traffic flood it and making money dies a long time ago. Quote:
