Forumophilia's shelter at Root.lu

Root.lu, the lessor of rack spaces in Luxembourg is housing pirates? servers

Root, a Luxembourg-based hosting company is a very attractive company for pirate sites. Take Forumophilia and Girlscanner for example: two of the biggest pornographic sites out there found their shelter within Root. Chasing Forumophilia around brought them from Russian hosting, DonEkoService to Luxembourg at Root. Since 18th of April they are untouchable. Girlscanner too is hosted there, after Latvian authorities pushed Girlscanner.com out of Camelhost.

Root TOS: Article 6, Published Contents
?6.2 The customer commits himself not to publish contents which violate the rights of third parties or otherwise offend an applicable law. It is prohibited to publish erotic, pornographic, extremist or immoral content. We are entitled to suspend the customer?s access in case of a contravention against this.?

When explaining Root how harmful this pirate is and how hard the battle against piracy is, and when asked to pull the plug on Forumophilia, this answer came towards us: ?Considering the website pointed by the domain name mentioned above seems to be installed on a server for which Root solely provide its housing service, we regrettably may not act as you are requesting us to?, ?the only possible means for Root to act against these internet sites would consist in the technical measure of cutting off electricity for the racks, and by these means also implicitly cutting of all internet sites and services in the same rack.?

Ok, understandable, but how about the fact that according to their article 6, point 6.2 they are entitled to suspend cusomers? access in case of a contravention? Forumophilia is doing all of the forbidden actions and is still one of their customers "It is prohibited to publish erotic, pornographic, extremist or immoral content. We are entitled to suspend the customer?s access in case of a contravention against this" ? Root isn't taking any actions against these criminals that are mocking them, us and the entire industry..

If you find your content on forumophilia, shoot e-mails at Root and raise awareness on these criminals! PM me if you need further information.

This host acts like nothing wrong is happening and it pisses me off. Shown every piece of evidence with forumophilia being a nasty pirate site breaching their internal rules, they have the nerve to call this evidence "pretexts under which you are requesting Root to suspend those websites"...

They are all making all sorts of lame excuses to justify their cooperation with piracy sites that is bringing them cash. They start making sense only when they're feeling the heat, as the most recent CCBill example shown.

we should be getting down to their level to fight the pirates - DDoS them into oblivion - no hosting company wants to be dealing with continual DDoS attacks.

Mh no, seems link of what hosted at root.lu is this:

http://en.wikipopia.org/as5577

however forumophilia still is listed at advanced hosters (the one of xhamster ) so this wikipopia seems unreliable. Any site like wikipopia who more properly make lists of what is hosted where?

Keep moving them... Eventually you'll get them onto an APNIC ASN where they will stay.

wikipopia is about as accurate as a two dollar digital watch.

The company hosts despicable sites with Russian customers galore. Nuff said.

these guys at Root.lu are the most annoying pirate-defenders that we came across. They only have 2 articles in the Criminal Code in Luxembourg that users have to comply with : 383 and 454...

Only if content was blatantly in breach of Articles 383, 454 of the Criminal Code of Luxembourg, Root would then have sufficient grounds to suspend its services without rendering itself liable toward its customer.

So...we showed them proof that Forumophilia was in breach of article 383 (referring to child pornography). Instead of throwing Forumophilia out like the scams that they are, they just had F. erase the incriminatory post...

It seems that the wall F. put itself behind ( Cloudflare & Root) is more tough than we thought

They walk among us. Why you are posting this in here is not helping anyone other than the very folks you believe you are having an impact on. Let's just discuss how Oron could use Liberty Reserve too or maybe CDNs at.... Some things are best left unsaid in public.

So let them start feeling the heat!!We should be encouraged by CCBill's actions to keep fighting on.
Hey Aciuf -
everybody has content on O - if you don't have content on O you are probably not in this industry.
Note: There's no PM here, but if you want to mail me feel free. O ignores our DMCA, they are probably cutting a significant portion of our income, and I'd be happy to do something about it.

What did you honestly expect to happen? They did exactly what host should do, no more no less. You complained about cp, they removed it. I think that you are not exactly true to your word and cause and I feel like you are betraying the industry and our community pursuing your personal interests while putting your followers and fellow members of GFY and adult community in general at risk.

I guess having produced CP for such a long time makes you expert at spotting one, however it seems that it may be illegal to actually look for cp on the net to report it. I once came across it on DepositFiles, tried to reported to them and PayPal and guess what, it was not deleted and I was warned not to do it by both their legal teams, and that is not the first time it happens.

I also want to say that you need a reality check of some sort, you are on a crusade and you are making a BAD rap for all of us with your cp pursuits. You are stressing it too much when it's not really the problem now, is it?

I don't see you targeting hosts that are full of this crap like depoistfiles.com, hotfile.com, extabit.com and others who are: 1. Bigger. 2. Badder. 3. Have PayPal to sell yours and ours stolen content via.

You are not targeting Webazilla who host wide majority of piracy while being an "industry friend", so what's the deal here?

I for once begin to not feel very comfortable having you crusading and motivating people to do illegal things on this board as I (and I'm sure other webmasters too) do not want to be associated with a major ex-cp producer (hopefully ex) in this manner or any other for that matter.

I believe you owe us all an explanation.

You are missing the point here...cp was one mean of attacking the host; how this host is laughing to our faces and how the local authorities choose to ignore this is just mind blowing. This is the first time we stumbled across this type of ignorance. Even throwing girlscanner out from Camelhost was easier.

To be clear, we are on the pursuit of A (one) pirate here - forumophilia (this includes its filelocker and hosts). We've set a target and we are trying to concentrate our efforts on bringing them down. You think that chasing 7 hosts and 5 pirates at the same time will be of any good? NO.

How am I motivating people do illegal stuff? What are you talking about?CP was mentioned before by other users here so why are you so pissed on us? I don?t see my thread putting no one at risk.
Joining forces on GFY paid off if you look at CCBill-Oron example so it?s only fair to inform the community about this webhost. Negative publicity is a must when forcing them to do the right thing.

And one more thing....did you do a background research? I guess not. You should measure your words carefully next time you make false allegations against me. Before you spread crap all over, you should do your homework. We are on the industry's side so stop being suspicious.
