Content owners - Get Tubes REMOVED from Google
With the recent Google copyright featured SE algorithm update you can get illegal tube sites removed from SE top rankings.
At the moment only torrents and filesharings are the most actively reported sites. Google gets almost no DMCA abuses for tube sites http://www.google.com/transparencyre...s/pornhub.com/ Total Requests: 214 Median Requests per Week: 3 http://www.google.com/transparencyre...s/redtube.com/ Total Requests: 32 Median Requests per Week: 1 http://www.google.com/transparencyre...spankwire.com/ Total Requests: 143 Median Requests per Week: 1 If you know that your content is being illegally distributed at tubes - DMCA Google the links, so you'll take down those links from Google (get more sales that way) and IT ALSO LEADS to tube site overall search ranking decreases. This is not news as well as tubes started fingerprinting all content of their partners (affiliate programs they work with).

It's about more than just take down requests:
http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/12/32...earch-rankings They are going to claim that, like Google itself, that they have an easy to use system for content removal and have taken steps to make it easy for content to be removed. At least that is how I think it will play out for the bigger sites. Smaller ones, not embedding from the bigger ones would likely see a hit. |
