The Venetian is a nice hotel...the Westin in Hollywood, FL, kicked major ass (those beds were da SHIT), but the coolest for my taste has been the Hotel Monaco in Seattle...

http://www.hotelmonaco.com/

They give you these SWEET leopord print robes and a pet goldfish. One of the best reasons though...walking distance to The Metropolitan, one of the best fucking places to eat in Seattle.

Ok, that's it, I'm booking tickets.

The coolest one I ever saw was some huge ass suite at the Luxor. National Net booked that badass mofo and I was floored with that. I heard that the best suites in Vegas are at the Las Vegas Hilton. The guy that told me said there are THREE on the top floor - a 5000, 10,000, and 15,000 square foot suites. Surprising for such a crappy hotel.

I did the biggest room at the Riviera for a week for the gentlemens' club owners show one year. That was cool but WAY bigger than I needed. I left there never even seeing two of the bathrooms and one of the bedrooms.

Venetian kicks more ass overall tho. Plus the grand lux is open 24 hours.

there was a neat special on TV about how these rooms are reserved exclusively for high rollers (whales) from around the world they try to attract to gamble at their establishment and use the suites and private butlers...as bait.

My favorite so far is Las Brisas in Acapulco, each casita has there own pool with the most incredible view, and you get a jeep too.

Also Las Hadas in Manzanillo, was breathtaking.

Also the Princess Hotel in Acapulco, another one you don't want to leave and the most delicious buffet meals I've ever experienced.

In California, the Beverly Hills Hotel, Hotel Bel Air, Century Plaza are all great. Also the Four Seasons, Newport Beach. And there's a couple nice ones in La Jolla.

In NYC the Helmsley Palace, Park Lane, and The Plaza.

In San Francisco, The Mark Hopkins.

In Vegas, The Mirage and Ceasers.

In Florida, The Boca Raton Resort, The Ritz Carlton, The Breakers

The Atlantis in the Bahamas is spectacular also.

I've never been wealthy enough to stay at any really great hotels, but I have always wanted to stay at the Empress in Victoria BC. Very expensive, very classy. Love Victorian stuff.

He has a point, it's a whole different kind of fun. I'm a bit old for that kinda fun now unfortunately.

Had a huge 3 room suite high up in one of the towers in the Luxor.

Enjoyed the Empress in Victoria and the Pan Pacific in Vancouver.. got to watch all the Alaskan cruise tourists.

ICK, I don't care where the cool people stay, I love every Four Seasons I've ever stayed in... the one in Vancouver has some of the best concierge service there is... I like it better than the Ritz.

Some of my favorites
L'Auberge du Sedona (anyone coming out for the Forum and staying extra days should definitely get up to Sedona, it's unlike any other place - http://lauberge.com

King Pacific Lodge -- a fantastic experience and kickass service...
http://kingpacificlodge.com/

Windsor Court in New Orleans...

Delano in Miami...

Regent Beverly Wilshire in Bev Hills...

One hotel I cannot wait to stay in, though I might not make it this year since I want to go to Cuba and Thailand, is the Georges V in Paris --

And I'd stay in ANY hotel managed or marketed by Rosewood. They have some AWESOME locations and cool as hell resorts...

Hey Kimmy, you are in a different demographic so those hotels are for you. Old style luxury is nothing to sneeze at!

The Four Seasons, The Peninsulas, and The Ritzes of the world needs someone to enjoy them.

Unfortunately(?), I like the hot young babes, cool bars and the up to date extras that comes with the cool hotels.

I will agree with the Rosewood hotels though, Hotel Ginza, The Mansion in Turtle Creek and Las Ventanas are sweet! Las Ventanas had a Tequila special package a few years ago that was wild!

Nope, you can go to Cuba as a US citizen. You cannot spend American dollars in Cuba without special dispensation from the State Department.

Of course there's more than one way to skin a cat ;)

Dont get me wrong, I love nice hotel bars to hang out in, it's just that when I want my breakfast at 4 am cooked to perfection and delivered in half an hour or less, or I need a robe, toothbrush, whatever, am looking for fine dining, want to go to the spa, things like that, I want to stay in hotels that offer those things.

That's why God made cabs ;)

Last year i went to S.E. Asia for a few months (Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam) and my average cost per night was $6 US for a room. I stayed in small guesthouses everywhere I went and its definately a great way to enjoy travelling on extended trips.

Other than that teh place sucked the rooms are hella small, the bar was the uppity $8 heinikens & overpriced cheap wine, The bar has an interesting glass floor, but that was about it the chairs were fucken plastic lawn chairs! & the Women were the stuck up model types one of those places you go to be seen , not to really have fun. The weekend got to be cool cuz it was teh weekend of the Michel Dougals Kathrin Zeta Jones wedding @ the plaza. The after wedding parties were in the H hotel bar was kinda fun to watch people that are actually interesting during the party(not the typical crowd there). Dont eat & teh H restruant! they serve shit like meat loaf & you sit on picknick tables cafeteria style, Its over priced & NY chic lame.

Alot nice places in NY that are actually nice, & not flashy, try to hard to be different fake. Avoid the Hudson

Been to a lot of nice hotels but I would have to say:

London Metropolitan
http://www.metropolitan.co.uk

Had a nice chat with Marilyn Manson there :-)

I also think the Bellagio is still a great hotel.

The Mondrian in LA is awesome for people watching and partying.

The Bacara spa in Santa Barbara is incredible for romance and relaxation.
