What do you think of .pro domains?

I had an offer on a really good .pro domain and can't seem to wrap my head around that domain being able to market it on a big level. It's a mainstream web hosting domain .pro

Actually you can build PR to any kind of domain.

I would think that the only real reason to buy a .pro is to get an exact match, and that trick doesnt work nearly as well anymore since google rolled out its EMD update a few weeks ago.

Personally, I wouldnt bother with it.

Yeah I decided to let it go.

I thought the domain was great because it was an exact match and could be marketed nicely on TV.

For example on a commercial: buycars.pro the professional car buying service.

The .pro would be part of your tag line pitch.
