Ask Jeb Bush why a Republican would rather not have his brothers endorsement.

Not only has he not been campaigning for Romney, he wasn't at the republican convention and he wasn't even mentioned at the republican convention.

He is still looked upon as a shitty president and the republicans want to keep him out of sight and out of mind. The last they they want is to remind voters that the last time they were in power the country's economy collapsed and we got involved in two long wars that cost billions, not to mention thousands of American soldiers lives and we got next to nothing out of them.

More to the point is why Clinton is campaigning for Obama.... Former presidents have generally always stayed out of politics altogether, except for individual causes or charities.

more like Clinton is the only living president a huge majority would immediately reelect if they could

edit: and the republicans would use Bush immediately if he had at least 10% of Clintons popularity

Because most of the people in America are idiots,

Clinton was almost impeached, and is the main guy for the housing market crashing. Bush just gets the blame I'm guessing because of the media being so bias.

I'll vote for Jeb in 2020

Clinton was impeached during a witch hunt which had nothing to do with anything, and they went fishing until they caught him in a personal issue. I was a Republican at that point, but it was the most disgusting moment in politics.

But yet your own fucking party doesn't want Bush around and you can't see why. President Bush and the Republican party brought this country to it's fucking knees and destroyed our economy. President Bush was a fucking embarrassment.

Actually buddy, although I agree that Clinton would be re elected, what I said is the truth. Here in the US it is tradition for former presidents to stay out of politics after they leave office.

Incase some of you haven't seen this.
This is the bureau of labor statistics unemployment chart for 10 years.

http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000

Everything was peachy as far as the average worker was concerned when it came to whether or not they had a job.

Hence people still will vote for a republican tomorrow..

1. I'm not a Republican. I just believe that people should work for a living and not be punished for being successful.

2. I like Clinton, I agree the whole Clinton impeachment thing was dumb, I was just making the point.

3. I think Obama did a worse job than Bush.

I'm not voting for the lesser evil, I'm voting for Romney because I believe he can help turn this Country around.

Well fwiw, usually the ex-president doesn't have a wife that is currently Secretary of State. Not supporting Obama means not supporting his wife's job.

I guess it depends on how much shit there is. If someone dumps 3 tons of shit in my yard then continually blocks me from doing what I want to do to clean it up and they keep adding to the pile, it might take me a while.

My point is they regularly visit each other and talk politics. They also call each other. Politics doesn't stop the moment they leave office... they are still a valuable asset to their party.

Additionally, ex-presidents campaign all of the time. Clinton also campaigned for Kerry. Clinton and Gore had a lot of fighting when Gore was running. Bush Sr. campaigned for son... I don't know if Reagan campaigned for Bush Sr... I was too young.

Epic fail

Carter: has been a vocal advocate of every candidate since he lost

Reagan: Went all over the Country for Bush Sr in 1988, then did again in 1992.... proof you say:

President Bush brought the country to it's knees, and dragged the entire world down with it. The shit we are still going through today is because of President Bush. He destroyed us. He was at the helm when this all went down.

Why in the world do you think Obama has Clinton - the President who was impeached - campaigning for him yet there is zero mention of Bush during the entire Romney campaign.
Clinton signed the bill that caused the housing market to crash, That is my point. But media will never say something like that, It would hurt Obama's campaign.

And I may lean more towards republican, but I'm not. I agree with things on both sides. Here are a few of my beliefs.

1. Companies employing more than 1,000 people and can stamp their products made in the USA should be tax exempt. (those 1,000 employee's pay taxes made by that company)

2. Small businesses should get help from the government, not be over taxed.

3. I agree with welfare, But people should have to work for it. even if it's just cleaning up sidewalks, painting buildings, working daycare or mowing lawns. There should be no free handouts.

4. We need less laws, and more freedom. But Theft and Violent crimes should be taken more serious.

5. This Country is supposed to be about freedom, I don't think anyone should impose their beliefs on anyone, Live your life the way you want, Give others the same respect.

Edit: Oh, yeah and Tax anything coming into America so hard that it would be a loss for Companies to make their products outside of the USA. Those few things should fix the economy. and unemployment would be almost nonexistent.

Comments like this make it easy to see who watched and who did not. For the record, he was invited but declined.

Tradition also says we dont have black presidents or get BJ's in the white house but GObama and Slick Willy broke these boring old outdated traditions.

Blacks and BJ's!!!

I heard that Bush was basically losing his mind and spends his days drawing pictures of dogs.

That's like getting fired but being given an opportunity to submit your resignation. Even if he declined they would have talked about his great 8 years if they weren't such an embarrassment.

They don't talk about Bush for the most part. He was president only 4 yrs ago. If they all thought he did such a good job, they would of been parading him out the whole time but its like those years never happened.

You know how many contradictions are in that post?

Clinton signed the bill but lenders and borrowers took it further than intended. What was supposed to be a few % of loans turned into majority.

But yes more freedoms for biz!

You want government to help small business and make them pay less in taxes. That differs from the individual welfare you are against how?

Blah.

He served two terms, he retired, he wasn't fired. He knows the Republican party has to move on.

Did you even watch the RNC or Veep debates? Ryan blames Bush almost as must as Obama for the current financials.

I didn't watch either of the conventions, however, the way I understood it was that Bush announced he would not be a part of the convention months before it took place and later on it was said that he was invited and chose not to attend, but there were no details of what type of a role he was offered.

His dad and Dick Cheney also didn't show up, from what I understand. I don't know if they were invited or not.

Not really. The law was abused. And Bush did nothing to stop it, and nothing to prevent this.

And why would the media cover up something? Are they all democratic? Did I miss that memo?

So all companies operating in the US who have more than a thousand people working for them should be tax free? Fucking brilliant. The government would go broke in thirty days.

Over taxed? With all of the loopholes we have? How much more fucking help do small businesses need?

Sounds reasonable. But why hasn't anyone ever put something like that into place?

Why do need less laws? Are the laws we have over bearing? The local police have been to my house twice in eight years, once which was a mistake.

More freedom? More freedom to do what? Do you need papers or permission to drive past city limits? To leave the county? The state? Short of shooting someone I can pretty much do anything I want. I have multiple assault weapons in my house. What more fucking freedoms do you want?

Your telling us to vote for the Republican party and then telling us no one should impose their believes on anyone. Yet the Republican party is trying to tell my wife what she can and cannot do with her own body....

Face reality. The Republican party has failed us with eight years of bush, and then to fix the problem they sent an old man and the governor of Alaska, and then they sent a business man with a 22% failure rate who left office with a 34% approval rating. The Republican party knows it has no hope right now. That's how bad it is.

I'm not saying give small businesses a free ride, I'm saying not to tax them to death.

I'm not against welfare, I'm against the way it is currently handled.

Bush is still standing in front of the national debt clock trying to figure out if the digits mean millions, billions or trillions he racked up.

You pretty much summed it up. These just kind of come across as random thoughts and republican speaking points, though executed somewhat poorly.
