:mad After what CEN's Trafficcash did to me as a webmaster...

...I'm wondering if I can ever trust any sponsor...?!

I would have never thought it would come to this: I had been advertising CEN's Trafficcash since the 15th of February 1998 (when they were still residing at powersite.net and only had 'Private Gold' and a handful of other sites = nice anniversary ) - now late last year they 'suspended' my account after a complaint from APIC, and since shortly after that have been ignoring all my attempts to contact them...

There was not much to this APIC story, it wasn't related to any of CEN's content, and the only hook was an ad for 'Sex Illustrated' on the page in question. Now anybody who searches this board or others will find dozens of stories where APIC jumped the gun and came up with weak or baseless accusations, and communication with APIC is 'patchy' at the best of times...

As an overseas webmaster I find it very difficult to contact US companies by phone, specially CEN (I tried it in another matter for weeks w/o any success), my main means are usually emails, which over the last weeks have been completely ignored!

So a so-called "sponsor" closes an established account for the sake of pocketing a few hundred extra bucks - whom can you trust then? I tried my best, but since I advertised CEN this long, I simply can't pull all links... Some are still on Majorhost and Sexshare, hosts I have not used anymore for almost 3 years - but sometimes an odd gallery suddenly gets revived and receives a few hundred hits (The Porn God alone knows where from)...

I think it's pretty shitty how some sponsors suspend accounts based on the bullshit that APIC spews. But if they must, they should at the very least, handle emails sent by concerned webmasters quickly and promptly.

George, what was the content that APIC said was not yours?

This industry I think has some of the worst customer service for webmasters. We emailed some places that took almost a week to get a response. We usually try to handle emails within an hour and also have icq and telephone support.

For the most part I'm impressed when I get responses within a week. Seems the more important a matter is, the longer it's left unattended. Really disappointing. Just because we peddle smut doesn't mean we should be any less professional than the mainstream world.

I dont believe a single thing in this story. You must have fucked up big time. CEN are great people. Communication? BS, I have never called and not found helped, and they call from time to time as well. Move on man, you've been with them for years, maybe its just time to move on. No need to try and talk shit about them in here.

I just dont believe you I guess.

i was hung up on by some rude lady at traffic cash when my account was dropped for spam. i had to call back and got someone to look into it and after a few months he says there's no evidence of spam and to setup a new account.

no evidence of spam and they still wouldn't pay? it was also weird that my account was dropped when i was emailing them about a cheque i had to send back that wasn't printed right. guess it was easier to steal my money and say i spammed then it was to cancel the cheque and send a new one.

George> I'm not sure what APIC's claims were, but I've had my run-ins with them as well and TCG handled it very well, basically contacted me, had me remove the questionable material and that's it. This happened on two occassions and not once was my account suspended or terminated. I would try to contact Rocki or BT and try to figure out what happened to your account, if you comply to APIC's requests or can prove the content is yours then there should be no problems.

FlyingIguana> I thought Rocki replied to your post on an earlier thread where you were terminated from TCG. She certainly got back to you since I remember reading the replies on GFY, I'll even make it easy for you, here's the thread where she replied to you and mentioned that you were terminated: http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...i guana+rocki

Best of luck George in sorting out the problem.

I once made a gallery using 100% CyberErotica free content and my host shut the account as APIC had contacted him about the copyrighted images

o.k - I'll try to, but early mornings aren't my favorite time of the day and the major problem is the bloody time difference to Florida: it's almost 9:00 in the morning here, and 5:00 in the afternoon in Tampa = time for you to leave the office! By the time I wind up my working day (6-ish in the arvo) you're still snuggly in bed...

It would help if you could familiarise yourself with the issue beforehand - my account is/was 'tropheat' THANKS!

BTW: I didn't want to take this issue to boards, and until recently would have sworn that Trafficcash is a reliable sponsor (apart from the typical hiccups). I certainly have to take part of the blame because I let it slip for too long; I was too busy in the pre-christmas period, early in the year I thought that everybody was at the InterNext, so it was late January until I finally did more about it...

ok i never seen that last reply from rocki. but i was talking to someone at traffic cash and after a few months i get told that i didn't spam and to sign up again under a new account. i don't spam and i never did. either traffic cash ripped me off or a mistake was made. i assumed it was a mistake, but after getting dicked around for months and then being told i didn't spam yet they're not going to pay? thats fucking bullshit.

they say i spam yet they were the ones sued by aol? they should watch what they do before ripping off an honest webmaster like me.

johnuk any content CE offers is 100% legit - there is no reason for APIC to have any success getting your host to shut off your account. Had you contacted us we would have helped you out in a hurry. I know the folks involved with APIC and sometimes they're out of line.
