Programs with highest CBs and Refunds...

Are there any programs that should be avoided to the fullest extent these days? Not because of lack of payment but because the CBs and refunds are too high?

My theory is an affiliates jobs is to get the surfer to convert. Upon doing so, you've done your job to make that happen. When programs have regular CB handouts its like your effort is wasted given the reduced payment. Any programs to avoid today?

Programs don't give out CB's, banks and card issuers do. Trust me programs hate them more than you do and would love to pass along the $25 per transaction fine that comes with them as well. Refunds are usually an attempt to avoid a probable chargeback.

Customers are getting increasingly comfortable filing bogus chargebacks, as evidenced by Mastercard's recent relaxation of their limits.

The absolute most effective way to limit chargebacks is to eliminate affiliates who seem to be magnets for them. You can't always tell who's cheating or even just being too aggressive or misleading in their promotional activities, but you can watch their stats and solve the problem by cutting the cord.

If you want to minimize chargebacks look for:
Programs with no tricky upsells, xsales or hidden fees
Sites that cost the surfer under 24.95/mo

Typically it seems total amount billed is the number one factor that causes CB's, and for most people 24.95 seems to be the breaking point, though increasingly I am seeing it closer to 19.95. (economy is bad)

Obviously with sites that bill lower the payout is going to be lower but if you don't like CB's then that's what you got.

cb's and refunds solely based on the affiliate program.. that is hilarious...

Here is the reality. If a program had a problem with chargebacks and refunds program wide? They would be out of business before they could afford their first promo for it...

How is that hilarious? Believe it or not some programs do have a problem with chargebacks and refunds. Most of them go out of business at some point in time. I'm just asking if some programs are known to create more CBs and refunds than others that's all. Obviously the quality of the traffic matters etc. We all know programs don't survive bc of affiliates. Affiliates survive bc of programs. I just hate seeing a negative sale in my stats. It's bothersome hahaha. Don't get me wrong it doesn't ruin my day. There are more important things to worry about. I was just asking how to avoid or who for that matter.

I have some programs where I get quite some credits, but the ratio is a lot better than with other sites. In the end I make more money, despite all the credits.
It's all a matter of working out how much your clicks are worth at that sponsor compared to other sponsors.

There are a ton of affiliates (not saying you, OP) who seriously mislead surfers about what's in a member's area so that obviously leads to chargebacks. Not to mention that surfer is probably lost forever as a porn buyer.

I see shit like that all the time. Of course it can go both ways as well. I've seen a lot of program's promo material promising all kinds of crap that is blatantly false.

As an affiliate you should dig around in a member's area yourself so you know what the surfer is actually going to get.

ChargeBackDollars.com is the best. 99% of all sales are chargebacks.

very true.,

main reason for chargeback are

stolen cards
unsatisfied customer which is due to false promises.

See that second one is the real problem.
Chargebacks are only supposed to be issued on fraud.
Consumers try to get awefully tricky with that second part. and they usually just say their card is stolen (which you basically cant win)
