MechBunny with Trade Script
Hey fellow MechBunny users! Any of you using trade scripts? I am just installing Trade Expert scripts to a bunch of my tubes but first trades seem to be not so productive... I need to discuss with someone how to finetune main page thumb sorting to show top thumbs first like Smart Thumbs TGP script does...

You need to rewrite the sql queries in includes/inc.index_queries.php so pull from the db the data that you want. There is no "built-in" function to do this.
I can help you out 349588486 - but time isnt cheap ;)

includes/inc.index_queries.php look in this file and play with the "ORDER BY" part of the statement that is being used to grab videos for your index page.
i would walk you though it but the architecture of MB has changed a bit, not sure how some versions are handling things now. your best bet would be to ask Konrad, im sure he can point you in the right direction. |

mechbunny by default shows latest videos on home page., you need to adjust query in includes/inc.index_queries.php
replace default: 's data with either toprated/discussed/mostviewed/longest

Hi guys, thanks, once I made it to the file w the queries and we even successfully modded it. That time I wanted ORDER BY RAND which is pretty much a no-no because of it puts heavy load on mysql if i remember well.. I need to go for another solution so I can hand pick thumbs to appear on main page.. I guess this can be done easily by setting MB to show top rated thumbs first and tweak my fav video thumbs in the db bumping my favs to top.
This convo can be useful for all MechBunny dudez not just those who plan to trade Thanks for all the nice info n tips! ;)
