When we have customers hosting multiple Wordpress sites, we offer a service where we set up symbolic links (kind of like shortcuts in Windows) in order to use different databases and config.php's, but one central wordpress scripts account. Not only does this make management much easier because you have all scripts and templates in one directory, but you also gain speed because you use less diskspace and waste less server resources.

standard , use dropbox plugin for backups and monitor.us for response and uptime alerts

InfiniteWP is OK for maintainance, but it doesnt handle posts or viewing comments from a single panel and things like spam etc
