Where is the "neutral" option, its not just either love, or hate. Poll fail.

We use them as a registrar for several hundred domains and have never had a problem ever.

I would never recommend them for hosting services, but for domains registration sure would.

As a web host we get the opportunity to see how different registrars operate, how fast sites resolve, etc . . . . GoDaddy FTW, hands down.

Ive never understood why people hate GoDaddy, we have hundreds of domains registered there, lots of our clients have domain names registered there and not once have we, or our clients had issues.

It seems to me like the 'GoDaddy Sucks' bandwagon is just the like the 'Microsoft Sucks' bandwagon, lots of haters for no reason other that it seems to be the 'cool' thing to do.

Ive yet to hear anyone saying they hated either of the two companies mentioned above have a legitimate reason for doing so...

A part of the reason is because they were a sponsor of SOPA.

I've said the same thing several times here, the most recent being the other day in one of the GoDaddy coupon threads. CurrentlySober is the only person I've seen give a detailed account of what soured him on GoDaddy.

Ah, yeah I forgot about that, but yes, so far on GFY specifically, he is definitely the only person who has been able to backup his hatred of GoDaddy.

The SOPA thing, even the elephant thing, they've happened after people have been claiming 'GoDaddy Sucks' for years so I personally cant put much weight on those being legitimate reasons why most dislike GoDaddy.

I really do just think its a case of envy from most people because its a company that does well, especially considering what they actually sell, an intangible product.

In the other thread, I acknowledged that.

It's always the same "GoDaddy sucks," or "only idiots use GoDaddy" replies. In fact, CurrentlySober was the only person who gave a specific incident that steered him away from GD, and he even acknowledged that what happened to him would not happen to most, and that he wouldn't necessarily discourage others from using them.

Go figure, CurrentlySober was the only anti-GoDaddy person to offer intelligent reasoning behind his position....

They pissed me off years ago and I haven't used them since.

I was going to transfer 10 domains to them. I paid for the transfers and set the transfers in motion. They then tell me that because the domains are within 30 days of their renewal that I can't transfer them. No problem until they tell me that they aren't going to give me my money back, but they will give me a credit on my Go Daddy account. So they couldn't do what I paid them for and now won't refund my money.

After a few angry emails they still refused to refund my money. I haven't touched them since.
