Have you ever bought a domain, did nothing with it, dropped it, and then bought it back again later, maybe even years later after it expired?

Seems I've done this 3 times in the past year, purchased domains that I had dropped a year or even much longer ago.

Of course there are always those domains also that you wish you had not dropped, and then decided later to get again, and of course someone else has already picked them up and is parking it, or worse yet, has developed a great site behind it now

Anyway, I've been buying, selling and building domains & websites since 1994, so I guess some of this goes with the territory.

Just curious if others here might have experienced this same type of thing.

I do keep the auto-renew option on every one of our domains just in case, but I ALWAYS manually renew or delete before that time comes around.
