Very pleased with my new computer

So far I would recommend Biostar to anyone.. the I5-3570k runs a-lot faster than the I5-2500k I had and blows the amd a10-5800k I had straight to hell. Also, the ballistix 88824 ddr1600 works A LOT better in 2x8 than it did in 4x4 for some reason - not sure if it's because of the mobo or what

Anyway, as a veteran Gbyte and Asus buyer- I must say that I have a new favorite mobo. Biostar is pretty great. My only complaint is the motherfuckers have an automatic driver scan which tries to charge you (which is okay since the ones asus and Gbyte provide don't ever fucking work anyway)

The Kingston HyperX SSD is working fine thus far (second one I've had) after 2-3 full rewrites. It's fast, too, I think it's faster than the Corsair Force GT I had before, too.

I did end up having to spend $269 on the monitor But it's a 40" 1080 LED and I love the picture on it. I think it's only 60hz but I don't care about that- plus I got the monitor new for $269 and they're on the shelves in wall store for $399 .... so fuck $250 they want for 3-4 year old 32" LCDs

Now all I need is hotel maid repellent to be sure I can keep this thing without it walking off on a motel maid cart
LoL

Is the monitor just an LED TV you are using a monitor? How does it look. I thought about doing that, but wasn't sure it would look good.

Resolution would be ass. Would be better off getting a 30 inch monitor with full capability resolution, IMO.

It's definitely not "monitor quality" but it IS very clear so long as you run it at 1920x1080
I can't imagine what a real 40" computer monitor might cost

Also I am not sure of what the different versions of LED are.... I heard something about some have side led, some are this, some are that. This one says "full hd backlighting" on it

Anyway- if anyone tells you that you can't use a tv as a monitor, they're wrong- should you? I suppose not. Works great for me

I hate high resolution settings if that's what you mean
If you're talking about the number of actual pixels or whatever else, actual quality, I am sure that you're right about an actual PC monitor being a-lot better. As far as I know, it's always been that way

This is what I got http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vizio-E390...-HDTV/21988227
It was either this or some stupid thing called hisense, proscan and funai .... I think Vizio is a-lot better than those

My next one will be LG or Samsung for sure- they are the best.

I could have gotten this one for $335 but I thought the LED looked a-lot better http://www.walmart.com/ip/RCA-46-Cla...B45RQ/20628120

Dude, you're going to get migraines and physically/permanently ruin your eyes.

The resolution is low for a "monitor" of that size.. think about it. The pixels are spread further apart and will fuck your eyes up.

TV's have a wider dot pitch (spacing between pixels) for distance viewing. Whilst monitors have narrower dot pitch for closer viewing.

It seems fine, thus far.. I don't know much about a dot pitch, but I remember back in the day anything down around .22 was really good

Is this really that bad? My eyes seem to be fine

I agree about the Biostar motherboards. I have 10 computers, and I've been phasing out all of my Asus motherboards, because they're shit. Every Biostar build boots up on the first try, and all of the features actually work.

Fuck ASUS.

I use a Sharp Aquos 32 inch for the last couple years, and my eyes are fine.

I'm using a Biostar motherboard with my latest build and so far it's been great! I've usually gone with Gigabyte boards but Microcenter had a great deal on the Biostar board that I bought.

I guess it all blew up in Missoula
There just was no other way
After months of goin' crazy, there
was nothin' left to say
But when the dust had finally settled
And the air had quickly cleared
Whoa, things were better off than I had feared

Chorus:
And I, Miss you so badly, girl I love you madly
Feelin' so sad now since I been gone, gone, gone
It gets quite confusin', it seems that I'm loosin'
Track of the long days since I been home

We're stayin' in a Holiday Inn full of surgeons
I guess they meet there once a year
They exchange physician's stories
And get drunk on Tuborg beer
Then they're off to catch a stripper
With their eyes glued to her "G"

But I don't think that I would ever let 'em cut on me

Chorus:
And I, Miss you so badly, girl I love you madly
I think I've been had though for
stayin' so long, long, long
And I'm, just watchin' the Gong Show, waitin' for Zoro
Losin' the long days since I been home

I got a head full of feelin' higher
And an ear full of Patsy Cline
There is just no one who can touch her
Hell, I'll hang on every line
Oh, crazy how things happen, it's incredible but true
The longer I'm gone the closer I feel to you

Chorus:
And I, Miss you so badly, girl I love you madly
I'm feelin' so glad just to be headin' home, home, home
I've been, battlin' motel maids, and chewin' on Rolaids
Countin' the hours till I get home
Whoa I been, countin' the hours till I get home
