I am not sure that's the right word for it but I'm tired of shit that can only use one core taking forever. It's going to be a LONG time before everything is written to use more than one core. Someone needs to figure out how to make single threaded processes make use of all of the cores.

Is it even possible that a piece of software or changes to an OS could accomplish that?? I am not sure how it all works, really.

Something that would at least manage affinity settings would be nice.. I constantly have to set affinity myself. CPU0 seems to be the one most shit uses by default... Why in the world can't the OS see when something is monopolizing a core that's frequently needed by other shit and give it affinity to some other core??

I only know of the set affinity option in the default task manager. I believe software has to be programmed correctly to utilize all of the cores but I could be wrong.
