I was reading Yahoo Answers and I found this question, from a minor thinking to sue a webcams site, because he was very horny last night and decided to broadcast himself, and now that he feels guilty, and that the site automatically shared his profile, he wants to sue the webcam site... Which is a very stupid thing. But the worst is that for his stupid actions he is putting in trouble to the industrials. He is 17 years old.

Technically minors can't be on the internet, since they can't own an internet connection. The owner of the internet connection that was used to do this, should be the party responsible.

Just like I can't make some website responsible if my 12 year old visits it and she sees something she's not supposed to. My home, my internet, my fucking responsibility.

Someone once hacked a company website of mine, turns out the person that did it was a minor so the parent got fined.

But then again, different countries, different laws.

so as responsible adult website owners should CB not have protocols in place to prevent minors from broadcasting? but as you say different lands have differing laws.

I don't know. You could argue that if you require that, you also have to require protocols in place to prevent minors accessing broadcasted/published material.
