tracking no ref/paysite domain traffic sales

Howdy. I recently have started using NATS in an attempt to track traffic and sales better for my paysites.

It does great for tracking ad campaigns and affiliate traffic, but these days type ins, non NATS links, and other traffic that doesn't pass through NATS links simply shows up as no ref or the paysite domain, since the traffic isn't tracked until it hits a NATS link (usually the enter link or signup link).

Just wondering what people do about tracking the source of these sales? I was awfully surprised they didnt have a way to track the sources of this traffic, like google analytics does or ANY tradescript in adult. Their tech simply told me NATS is an AFFILIATE tracking software, so its not supposed to do this. But cmon, this is 2013, I would think this would be seriously important with tube submitting, social media promotion, etc

I am thinking this could be done with google analytics on the sale confirmation page, but not sure how well that will work at tracing its source all the way back

An easy work around is to create a folder with an index.php that just redirects to a tracking code you've created inside of NATS.

So say you use twitter... yourpornsite.com/twitter instead of just yourpornsite.com.. yourpornsite.com/tube8 ... etc etc.

That's how I've always tracked in-house traffic with NATS. I've even done link buys linking to things like that and they've ranked well.

I think that's how basically all programs who use NATS do it.. that's how I've always done it.

It doesn't track ALL traffic, but it definitely tracks a lot more than not doing it.
