I'm not religious myself, and a lot of what they believe seems like indoctrination, but just because religions have been manipulated for population control, doesn't mean that their might not have been something legit in them originally.

a lot of it may be symbolic.
evil being part themselves, willing to do certain things to get success and fame. evil doings on their part to get success and fame. one way to digest stuff like that would be to sing about it, in some form. people who make it big, in business, politics or in show business have so much drive, nothing or very little comes in the way, no sacrifice to big...
