Top five reasons we won't attack NK in approximate order:

1. The US military has had substantial funding for 10+ years and does not require a war to raise money for retooling.

2. North Korea doesn't have oil they are planning on selling for something other than US dollars.

3. The US doesn't have a pressing need to enter North Korea.

4. Israel doesn't feel threatened by North Korea.

5. Current US leadership does not desire their work be defined by war.

I think because they have nukes, they are handled differently. With this, I can see where others countries like Iran want to get one because its a different club. If Saddam had nukes we wouldnt of gone into iraq.

The only real difference, is Iraq wasn't able to do any significant damage to any of our allies if we attacked. Iraq had already attacked Kuwait the first time around so there was nothing to lose by attacking them in 91 because they already occupied Kuwait at the time.

By the second war Iraq had no real means to do any damage to Kuwait.

NK despiste the fact that 99% of the propaganda seems to be written by a 12 year old, does however have a shit load of conventional weapons which are pretty much able to do a hell of a lot of damage to South Korea.

South Korea and the fact that it's largest city ad much of it's population is with-in striking range of NK is the difference.

I do think that SK is likely secretly preparing for war, and we will probably get drug right along into it.
