History has shown us what a cold hearted piece of shit he was but this tops everything I've seen of him prior. The well known "October surprise" that was the promised peace deal just before the election ended up it was undone by Nixon in an attempt for him to get elected.

He ended up winning the election by an extremely small margin most likely due to the peace deal falling through. The war went on another 5 years cost 15 thousand more American troop deaths and who knows how many on the other side.

If he were alive today a bullet between his eyes would almost be too good for him.

What is worse, is that the powers that be, including Lyndon Johnson knew exactly what happened but couldn't say anything because the recordings came from an illegal wire tap by the FBI.

I never believed anything they said about the second Iraq war. It was already well known even before the state of union address that the aluminum rods they claimed proved intentions of Iraq trying to get nukes was nothing but bull shit.

It was a documented fact, but still Bush and his cronies used it to sell the war and the facts meant nothing to the fucking dumb fuck sheep that supported it.

The Nixon Administration has been providing the world with all kinds of gifts and wisdom. Pre-emptive strikes, state assassinations, etc. Kissinger made weekly visits to the Bush admin and he is still active today.

"The Fog of War" was enlightening. No conspiracy theories, just some of the criminals relieving their consciences before they croak. What little they have/had.

The struggle over influence in se asia and viet nam continues to today. the China/Japan row over islands has nothing to do with territory. Its all about an ocean filled to the rim with resources. China is flipping out because they have very little ocean access. US wants the lions share and plans on forcing it to happen. Our gov has no problems sending the working and middle classes to their needless deaths over resources and money.

We learned that the for-some-reason-often-praised Condi Rice's own people told her that the aluminum tubes were NOT suitable for refining uranium and they were being used for making mortars PRIOR to her making the parroted speech about the possibility of weapons of mass destruction proof coming in the form of a mushroom cloud.
