The hours you work now compared to a few years ago.

Would you say you were putting in more hours now or less per day than you would have been say 3 or 4 years ago?

It's hard to work out the exact time spent actually working when you consider the amount of time each day spent fucking around, but i would say i do more now than i did a few years ago.

Working from home however has too many distractions sometimes...

Much less. But I went from having no kids to having three in the span of 30 months.

Hasn't changed all that much in the last 14 years in this business.... When one of the current project is up and running itself, I just start another one and add it to the list.

Being more professional nowdays I use my power to get more work done using same hours. But, must say, it was irregular 5 years ago, no it's almost everyday job.

While there are still days/weeks/months where I am working on a new project and the hours are long, I would say in general the past 5 years I have worked less for any number of different reasons. There are times when we are working on something new, and it requires those old 12/18 hour days for a short period of time. But in general a lot less hours needed.

My business has changed, and expanded. I have hired people do to the repetitive webmaster sorts of tasks I used to do the bulk of my day. I have invested in a lot of automation, and my daily routine is varied now. I also think I work a lot smarter versus harder. Which taken as a whole has allowed me to go from brute manual labor and task master to a different role, hence cutting the hours and giving me weekends off.

Far more because now I have 32 paysites and 4 years ago I started with 5, with 9 more coming this year.

But I also have employees now who do a lot of the "heavy lifting" for me which frees me to design more, add new projects, etc. So same amount of work, just differant work.

Fuck man, I'm always busy! LOL

I remember a year or two ago on that green webmaster forum with loads of Indians, probably can't mention the name of it here, the one that got done for Cookie Stuffing. I saw your advert there, looked good, seems like you recruited well

I actually think that weekends off are very important.

Didn't used to bother with them, but now i see it as vital you seperate your week days from your weekends...

I completely agree. Though I work out a 1 weekend off, 1 weekend on rule. You definitely need to unplug from your day to day stuff.....otherwise you can overwork yourself very easily.

Much less. But I had to slow down for health reasons.

And I increased production by stopping being stubborn and actually use help, so now we have a couple employees under payroll and a couple "on demand" and I just do whatever I find interesting and leave the more complicated or boring tasks to other people. So, while I sometimes work a lot, it's because I want to. However, most of the time I usually work 3-5 hours a day now

you shouldn't be ashamed, in 99% of cases it's true and just an objective fact. Even worse: there's people working lots and lots more and making A LOT less than before, and they simply have no options but to keep trying

started in mainstream 2002, added adult in 2003, kinda faded away from adult for a couple years maybe 2006 and then brought it back, I work more today as I have held a nice mainstream .com portfolio so as the years go I try to pick out at least 1 gem a year and develop it as I have been gradually trying to equal out the mainstream/adult revenue. Have about 35+ developed sites today and 500+ undeveloped or for sale .coms from 1998-2013. Lot of my domain sales x,xxx-xx,xxx have financed my developed projects. My goal is basically continuous expansion so I reinvest most of the profits as I'll enjoy them later at a larger scale.
