I Need a new PC. Any PC Gamers can help me out?

Hey everyone. My computer that I do all my work on is more or less pissing me off.. It constantly crashes and no matter what I do, it is the one computer that I can not seem to fix.

Anyways, I have been out of the PC gaming scene for quite a while, so I was looking for some input as to what I should be looking to get. It is going to be my new business computer, however, I want it to be more powerful than PS4 / Xbox 720.

I did some looking around and from what I've seen, I think I am going to get a ASUS Nvidia Titan card, perhaps 2 in SLI??? Anyways, other than that, I am not sure what else I should be looking for. Can anyone suggest some specs for a kickass gaming rig which would include 1 or more Titan Cards? What sort of RAM And Motherboard etc, power supply should I be looking for, etc..

I am going to the computer shop tomorrow to order parts, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone,

Yeah, my budget is 4-5K

The Titan goes for 1.1K alone.

I'm in the market for a new gaming PC myself. I've been looking around and Nvidia is the card you want to get for certain because most games make their platforms around it and then patch for any problems that arise for ATI after the fact.

You'll also need to look for 6-8gb RAM, look for a CPU that is at least i5, and Asus has the best motherboards right now.

Something like that should be able to run Skyrim at full graphics and performance. I think right now Skyrim is the game to measure PC performance from because it's pretty demanding.

Thanks for the reply, great info.

I was thinking ASUS for motherboards too, I will most likely go that way.
As for RAM, I may need more than 6-8GB. I was thinking for a good test and even better
than skyrim, I want it to be able to run the new Tomb Raider, with the full graphics and TessX or whatever it is turned on, where it animates every single hair on her head separately. I heard that needs major power.

I bought an Alienware Aurora R4 last September or so. 4.1 ghz, 32gigs of ram, duel video cards... I run three monitors off of it, can play any video game, and for anything I do work related it's a dream.

well, 16gb of ram, a new core i7 cpu (best one you can afford), ASUS motherboard (preferably), best nvidia card you can afford etc.. etc.. Oh don't forget SSD hard drives if you want to keep top performances.. I'd go into more details and specifics, but I'm very busy at the moment.

Enthusiat (top of the line gamer geek stuff) is at 2011 or easier to state... "Asus Rampage 4 board"...
2 nvidia 670's in sli is sufficient.
12 gig corsair dominator? ram
2 ssd's 1 for OS, 1 for top games
then network storage for the rest

choose intel cpu for your wallet size
x chips are overclockable...

noctua for air cooled heatsink/fans

antec 1100watt truepower or better power supply

cooler master haf x ?942? case

One copy Arma 3

nothing else required, as there is no such thing as pc gaming anymore other than Arma

forget air cooling..

Corsair Cooler Hydro H110. That will blow any air cooler out of the water. Hell, I have a Corsair Cooler Hydro H60 and it keeps my core i7 3.2ghz (LGA 1366) cool even overclocked at 4ghz and stressing the cpu. haven't seen it get higher then 52 degree Celcius. Right now I have the main fan on the radiator running at 40% of its speed and the cpu is only 29.6 degree Celcius. The case brand and model you mentioned does rock though.

All great info. since your budget is in 4-5k definitely go i7. SSD for sure. THey really do Boost writing and benching 10 fold.

Skyrim, Battlefield and even Arma 2 (Arma 3 will be out by the time youre done building) are great games to test capabilities.

If I was to spend $5K today I would go for a workstation that would work fine as a gaming pc as well.

If you already have a good monitor:

ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS Dual LGA 2011 Intel C602 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 SSI EEB Intel Motherboard
Intel Xeon E5-2690 Sandy Bridge-EP 2.9GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 20MB L3 Cache LGA 2011 135W 8-Core Server Processor
SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD512BW 2.5" 512GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive
CORSAIR Vengeance 64GB (8 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model
SILVERSTONE ST1500 1500W ATX 12V 2.3 & EPS 12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Xigmatek Elysium Black CCC-HSA0DS-U01 All Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Super Tower Computer Case

Total $4000 @ Newegg + $1000 for the video card.

Just a sample - could be other SSD, memory, PSU and case. In a year or two, just add another processor.

If it's only for gaming there are other options already mentioned though.

I was just throwing a cpu in the list.. With a $5k budget I guess lga2011 would be best and the motherboard on the list I put up would have to change also.

I recently ordered the top of the range Alienware XS1 , just waiting for it to come in the post: http://configure.euro.dell.com/dells...=dhs&cs=ukdhs1

I hope this computer is good....

Anyone know how many monitors it can be connected to?

Thanks
