I am working hard to be that sort of eccentric aunt to my nephews.

My dad's brother is my model. He would go out of his way to give me gifts or make suggestions around the Christmas table that he knew would drive my mom nuts.

For my 13th birthday he gave me a copy of Reefer Madness. Every single Christmas after that he asked loudly in front of my mother when I would be getting a motorcycle.

For Christmas my toddler nephews got Depeche Mode, Nirvana and Foo Fighter's lullaby albums. I am sure my sister has never played them but I made the effort.

that's good stuff! i like to targer my neph directly with the pranks, for instance, he sleeps late, plays video games, blah blah, typical teen stuff no biggie, nevertheless, i got him for christmas, amongst other things, a very faggy batman snuggie so he can wrap up when he plays his games.
