Do you own/collect any sports memorabilia ??

I have a spare room that i want to turn into a kinda sports area with all sorts of signed pictures, souvenirs, and programmes and stuff.

I have a couple of things just now, but have seen a few things i want to add to get me properly started.

Anyone on here got anything similar set up or anything you keep or treasure in general ??

I have a fairly extensive hockey card collection I've been adding to since I was a kid. I don't add much to it anymore, just the occasional card I buy on eBay.

I have a lot of CART / INDYCAR / NASCAR stuff from when I used to shoot for some of the IndyCar teams, & the Atlanta Motor Speedway for NASCAR.

they've really gone down in value over the years since the times of the internet haven't they? Lots of cards that were perceived as being rare exposed for being hugely produced doesn't help heh ps i still want rookie cards from all the hall of famers from the 80's..

I collect a lot of weird things non sports related though.. Hammers, weapons (non shooting kind mostly), musical instruments (mostly brass and guitars). I have an embarrassingly large old toy collection, mostly star wars crap that i collected when i was younger.

i haven't collected cards since i was a kid but i still have them. my favorite was my jose canseco rookie card. pretty much worthless these days. i recently missed out on a chance to have it signed. a mall just a few blocks over from where i live had him there signing stuff for people. i was there, wondered what all the fuss was, didn't realize it was him till the following day. oh well. some others favorites i had from back in the day, cecil fielders rookie card, ken griffy jr rookie card, that bo derek card where he wearing football gear holding a baseball bat...a bunch of others i can't remember. i also have all the desert storm card collections that were out there.

as for other stuff i collected, i have a few old pop bottles and other various crap. i had a stamp collection at one point but lost it somewhere along the way. could still be in my parents basement somewhere i guess. i've also collected 1000's of live bootleg cds more recently but gave that up as it became too time consuming. these days i collect domains.

canseco has always been one of my favourite players, despite all the crap he pulled. I used to see him a lot in toronto when he played for the jays. He is pretty easy to get a hold of these days, you can probably hire him to show up at your ball practice for 500 bucks these days heh That reminds me i do have a mcguire rookie card... pretty sure that is worthless too though.

I have some Star Wars figures from the 80's still in their box. Some go for nice prices just now, but i wanna keep hold of those for many more years to come.

I have some other toys/figures still boxed aswell, but nothing too old or rare. Yet...

In past I collect many things... now I collect things only which are from OLYMPIACOS games (football, basketball, volleyball etc) and I give the others or trade them.

Still collect tickets from sport events from all over the world.

If it makes you happy, then do it

I've never got into the hobby of collecting things, maybe because my attention span is to limited or I'm to interested in pursuing opportunities for income that if I buy into something that isn't an investment, I feel like I wasted my money

I have a Manchester United shirt signed by the whole team, potential fake afaik. But still means something on a personal level.

I also have an old cup from '96 when we won the double.

My programme and ticket from when we beat Mourinho's Chelsea at Wembley in the Community shield.

A shirt signed by a bunch of BDO darts players at the lakeside including the world champ that year. Some other token stuff from the same year.

A few PDC items from a similar time, no signatures, they definately managed to take the personal connection out of PDC events.

Various football shirts.

A ticket to a Blue Jays match, which they naturally lost.

I want to add an NHL and NBA ticket and some items from the event to the collection.

Oh, I almost forgot, plenty of personal photos from Camp Nou and other souvenirs, from when Barca were interesting and exciting
