How come my banner hits and skim traffic hits have NO visit duration time?
99% of my traffic hits have NO visit duration.
I buy my skim hits from Traffic Shop and my banners are from Juicy Ads. Both seem to be very reputable. When I check my "Recent Visitor Activity" from my Stat Counter account....Almost all have no visit time duration. A couple, out of 500, will show 1 min, 10 secs... or 2 mins... etc..... But over all, most have no time at all. The landing is a page with images, when you click on the images, it opens a new page... so the original page should have some seconds on it... Am I getting jacked with fake robot traffic or what?? Thanks for your opinion. All entries show an IP and a country location. I think the banners are real... but I've got a feeling that the skim is robot shit traffic. |

When YOU click a link on someone's site and the page it goes to is NOT the URL you expected to see, i.e. a root domain instead of a gallery page, do YOU close the window immediately, or do you wait to be fucked with by one more spammer?
I know I don't wait for the page to load (visit duration = 0) Thinking your surfers aren't as smart as you are costs folks a lot of money. |

Because they are bots. A real surfer can not close window fast enough to register no time on page.

Even the reputable guys got to filter out the bullshit traffic sellers. I can have steady 'paid for crap traffic' that converts at 1:5,000 then all of a sudden the ad rotator changes and I get a bunch of bots for a day.
Just gotta stay on it and look for alternatives when they cross the line. Spread the traffic companies out by days and see who's full of shite. |
