Money on Porn Sites: How and Critique My New Sites

I recently scaled some things back, most of them will return including the directory. However im building new sites. Blogs, tubes. etc. Im looking for critiques to help me break even with these or profit, which would be the cost of hosting, scripts etc vs income. Ill post traffic and income stats. I will keep updating the thread, my goal is a few hundred dollars profit from this project. Since adult is not my only income, this thread will not die as long as i dont lose money.

I would change the colour to say red. Deep red not pastel.

But to be honest the thumnails are way too small.

Personaly I like a blog to look simple and basic as its easy to read on the eye, and often loads quicker.

Its a lot of text and very tiny thumnails.

I considered this, I would have to edit the theme some. Ill think about theme edits after i finish with some content publishing tweaks., This will be more than a regular blog per se also.

The theme does not scream bdsm to me. To me bdsm is black background, red text.

Nice catch, i was missing the explicit .swf file. It works in chrome without but not firefox, thanks.

I checked in both firefox and ie.

I have never tried chome, though i guess i should.

One thing I would do is make the 'DOWNLOAD THE ENTIRE VIDEO IN FULL 1080p HD' clicable rather than the @ xxx next to it, simply as I think many will try that first (I did), if you understand what I mean.

One thought is that you have chosen a mobile friendly theme. But I am wondering if you make it basicly full of flash films that it may not do so well on a mobile platform and thus could be loosing out on sales.

It would be interesting if you did two blogs, one was film/flasg and the other pics only, which would convert better.

The theme on kinkygirls is terrible. No one is going to want to click any of those thumbs if they land on the front page. Too much useless text, those white boxes with the light tags are hideous, everything about the color scheme is a turnoff.

Once you're watching the video... the link to the sponsor should be the biggest, boldest, most obvious thing to click on the page. it should be an obnoxious h1 tag directly below the video that says "click here to download the full video", no nonsense with @ paysite name, as stated above. The goal is to drive clicks to your sponsors, not confuse them with bad color schemes and ambiguous text.

bdsmslut is a little better... lose the popunder. At your traffic levels, that one click pop over/under is going to cannibalize your productive traffic and you'll actually make less money versus focussing on trying to sell those memberships. Are you trading with the plugrush widget or just selling traffic with it? Either way it's going to kill your time on site, it shouldn't be the featured row of videos on your page.

Quick googling around found sites like the one you are trying to build, except better. No idea who's this is, but it looks better, colors make sense, navigation makes sense, and it probably makes money: http://bdsmvideotube.com . Comparing it side by side with yours you should be able to tell right away what you're missing.
