A little more details upfront would be helpful.
 Are you talking some sort of extra ad code (very risky these days given they are banning left and right for that) or something like watermarked content or a click thru url (much safer generally)?

Tumblr closes blogs for those who don't know how to effectively turn them into traffic engines. You could say the same for Youtube, Facebook, and every other social media site. Smart affiliates stay one step ahead, not two steps behind.
