My family, friends and even my doctor know exactly what I do, and support it, but with some people I just get the vibe that I should be vague... or even go the "I'm in online marketing" route.

Yep, know exactly what you are talking about... luckily I am past the days when all my friends about to tie the knot expected me to get them hookers for bachelor parties. That wasn't fun except when I would make them do co-ed bachelor/bachelorette parties with male and female strippers because those put a way better spin on things. I don't mind the quasi-therapist stuff though because you are right... it is amazing some of the stuff you hear.

Recently started dating someone and it's weird discussing the situation with them. I think she likes the idea that I'm comfortable with sex and I know quite a bit about it, but there are problems such as talking to her parents and whatnot.

me, being a woman as well, when i tell someone, they assume i am a 'model' .. and then i have to explain how it is..

When I tell people that I work in the porn biz they immediately conclude that I must be an actor. People seem to lack the realization that porn is a huge industry and that there's a lot more to it than acting and filming.
