Hosting for ruby and python apps

anyone know of any automated hosting, where you can setup ruby and/or python apps with a click of a button, i usally set these up by hand on a vps or dedicated, wanted a more automated way on a shared host.

sort of like

http://apisnetworks.com/web-hosting-packages

just curious if any hosts here do this.

Why not install the base on a Digital Ocean virtual server then take a snapshot and install new from your snapshot when needed ?

Please contact on icq, we can install the apps for you on cpanel after which you can install each app with a push of a button from the cpanel backend.

Our shared hosting starts at $8.95 per month. 10gb space 100 gb bandwidth. We host all our shared accounts in the cloud so you never feel like you are on a shared account.

Basically I'd recommend you looking for a shared host which offers cPanel or DirectAdmin with Installatron, Softaculous or Fantastico. You will have everything you need.

A Softaculous license is included for free with our cPanel/WHM and DirectAdmin addons for VPS servers, it comes with installers for 310 scripts at the moment. Be careful with cPanel though, it only runs on CentOS which is a resource hog by itself, let alone when you load cPanel on it. I recommend at least 1GB RAM.

Well that is not tally true. It works perfectly on Redhat, cloudlinux. plus it has some of the best memory management. Others are consuming memory and crass when run on a 1gb ram. Cpanel is stable and never slows down or crashes.

Btw nothing is wrong with centOS. If it is not working for you, you might be doing something wrong.

centos is made from what Redhat has to release and cloudlinux is centos with some custom stuff added.

cpanel is a resource hog compared to other control panels

Virtualmin (just as advanced, if not more advanced than cPanel) runs just fine on 512 MB with all the bells and whistles, I can even bring memory usage down to 256 MB with Apache and php-fcgi on a Debian virtual machine. That's with all LAMP services running, and enough modules to run Wordpress sites. That's difficult on Redhat or CentOS systems, and impossible to tweak with cPanel.

Also, cPanel compiles its own versions of software, the work required to apply patches to all of these custom compiled versions or to tweak them is immense and is usually performed by the operating system vendor (Microsoft, Red Hat etc). One of the results is a particularly poor security track record because the applications simply aren't patched as quickly or as methodically as they could/should be.

Both store configuration and log files in non standard locations. When you're dealing with very complex operating systems which administrators spend years learning how to use, this means, staring a Linux server upon which plesk/cpanel have been installed their years of experience is not worth nearly as much as it should be. This means problems are harder to find, harder fix, slower and more costly to resolve. Which of course makes diagnostics and support very difficult and outages are longer.

Hello,

I am interested in your service but I have a PROBLEM that I hope you can clear up.

When I go to your sites homepage and I click on the links to the bottom left under the "solutions" heading I get a "file not found" for ALL 4 LINKS!

Now, I am thinking...if a hosting company has broken links on their homepage then how much attention are they gonna pay to my sites?

Thanks

I tried to contact you via PM about this but didn't see any way to do so.
