Tesla - fuck the car, we should have bought the stock.

It is up about 60% in the two months since I talked about wanting one on here.

It's not to late. The world is moving toward electric cars. Tesla is just the first step. If anything invest in Google. They will only get bigger. With Google Fiber just starting out+ the self driving cars+Google Glass.

I read this morning that their stock went up 300% this year alone?

Tesla is going to take the world by storm. They are nearly perfect cars - good looking, great performance, high quality... I would love to have their Model S.

Once they figure out how to open up dealerships around the country and around the world, they'll sell like hotcakes. The base Model S sells for $70k - expensive, but not so much when you figure the money you'll save yearly.

Tesla is at ten times sales. Ford trades at .3 times sales. Yes there is a big difference but tesla is probably ahead of itself here.

That's what we all missed the boat on.

Feb 20 2009 - Ford stock price $1.58

Stock price today: $16.96

Up: 876.7%

Also it topped early 2011 at nearly $19, so didn't even have to wait this long.

Things like this headline certainly help their stock.

- Tesla aces its first crash test

I think one reason for Tesla's success is precisely because of their marketing strategy. If you have not been to a Tesla showroom yet, be sure to check one out:

Since the Telsa is designed and manufactured right here in the Bay Area (in Fremont on the site of an old GM plant), I see them everywhere these days. Beautiful innovative vehicles. More than I like to spend on cars, but I may be interested in a Tesla the next time I am looking to buy, especially if/when they come out with a more economy model (I usually buy Honda sedans, lol).

It will go up far more.

Tesla cars do look great (you would not think they are from the usa).

Its still early days.

In 10 or so years we will see more people switch to such cars.

I think Tesla will sell in the uk and other countries very well.

I see this as being possible... Same price as a freaking BMW or Audi, same quality, and a lot better mileage...

Good for Tesla, saw one of these cars charging at Fashion Island yesterday. I guess six months from now there will be post after post here of people bragging about the performance of their Tesla stock. Similar to what people used to do when AAPL was riding high.
