Cryptolocker Virus/Malware using Bitcoins to blackmail millions.. Why is this allowed.?

The Cryptolocker Virus/Malware program which encrypts all your files then charges people up to $700 to unencrypt them is using almost exclusively Bitcoins to process those payments.

So how is this possible that no law enforcement agency can stop this.

Obviously Bitcoins could care less. They're actually installing ATM machines in Canada so every up and coming criminal has easy access to their funds after they blackmail you..

So is this insane or is just the way things are going to be from now on. Criminals with their own convenient non regulated banking system..

What's your source about it using "almost exclusively" bit coins?

They use moneypaks and bit coins. However, most people that will get a virus are not technical, and non technical people will not have bit coins.

I doubt they've had a single payment using bit coins. Love to see your evidence.

I'm going by what I read and see on thehackernews.com

They have screen shots from the Cryptolocker virus once it infects your computer with the Bitcoin logo stating it's the cheapest way to pay the ransom. Moneypaks also can be used. So I don't know if anything can be done about that.

Even Bitcoins is not used exclusively.. Why should they or any payment method be allowed to function, other than delivering an envelope of cash to someone..
