What would happen? I'm thinking the smaller studios and "amateur" operations would be hurt most as they need to keep their members happy with steady updates. This would be true for niche sites especially (I would think). But how about larger porn companies? What if they just stopped filming altogether? Between DVD releases and previous scenes they must have tons of content they can recycle for years, no?

And would anyone else be hurt by filming stopping? The performers, directors, actual makers of the scenes for sure but anyone else? I know if all music stopped being made today, right now, there's enough unheard music for me to listen to for the rest of my lifetime and beyond. Maybe it's the same with porn.

That's just if computers and internet speeds never improved. Technically analog photography is around 14-15 megapixels (if you call a piece of silver halide or equivalent a pixel..) so there'd be room for a quality improvement with scanners.
