Can the colour of your clothes really affect your mood ??

I almost always wear light coloured clothing. If ever i'm going out and on the odd occasion wearing dark clothes (t-shirt, jeans, shoes) i just never feel quite right and i'm always aware of it for some odd reason.

Can what you wear really affect your mood, or is it just me ??

Not sure about colour of clothing but anytime I wear new clothes, I noticed I always feel in a better mood or a bit happier. My wife is the same, but that could also just be her excuse for her shopping habit I guess!

That is funny as I have some stuff that is older and I just get a kick out of wearing it as I know it looks good and is comfortable. New clothes need to be broken in.

Probably is just the shopping habit.

But nah for me it's definitely colour related. If i was sitting in a restaurant wearing a dark shirt or something, i know i wouldn't be as happy or comfortable if i was wearing a white one for some reason.

Weird but true...

They paint jail cells pink in some jails as it is supposed to have a calming effect. (Ask me how i know) I assume there's some study to support that and the police weren't just doing that to be dicks.

I'm not a little bitch so I don't have mood swings. Every day is fucking great, period. I wake up every morning, put my feet on the ground, and think to myself "Yes, I'm still alive. Today will be another great day".

Wearing the clothes you like can make you more confident, yes. Colors and everything. And confidence is a great mood

Had a bad motorcycle accident about 10 years ago and bought lots of loud Hawaiian shirts that cheered me up when wearing them instead of dark blues and blacks.

Wear them all the time in FL still. I would hate to have to tone it down now.

I've noticed that us Brits wear on average much darker clothing than our European neighbours. Pop over to France and you can spot the Brits abroad - they look like Goths at a Grateful Dead concert.
