Anyone here live in hot weather? What type of sofa should I get? Leather? Microfiber?

I just moved to Dallas and The summers here are supposed to be sweltering hot. I'm also buying a new sofa this weekend and I don't know what type of material I should get. I don't know if leather is cooling or if it's going to make me sweat. Let me know if you live in a hot climate and what type of fabric you think someone should get for a hot climate

You have air conditioning, right?

Buy the couch you want.

For hot weather area leather is perfect. However if temps in the winter decrease to really low values then you might find it to be not so perfect for winter days.

Buy the leather and get a few microfiber sheets or throws to cover it during the hot and sweaty/really cold weather.

Leather is the only way to go for a couch.

Get the style you like best.. I've had leather couches so long that the next time I buy, I'm likely to go with a micro fiber.

You live in Texas now. Year-round, you will have your furnace on or your air conditioner on. Get used to it.

I hate the feeling of a leather couch on bare skin (if you wear shorts every day etc). Every hot place I've lived I had microfiber, AC or no.

Natural fiber covers that are easily cleaned will work well at wicking away any sweat that the couches are likely to accumulate over time.

Sounds like someone inadvertently just admitted to living on the street.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my leather couch and getting a couple big recliners

think about that
