"Our quality guidelines warn against running a site with thin or scraped content without adding substantial added value to the user. Recently, we?ve seen this behavior on many video sites, particularly in the adult industry, but also elsewhere. These sites display content provided by an affiliate program?the same content that is available across hundreds or even thousands of other sites.

If your site syndicates content that?s available elsewhere, a good question to ask is: ?Does this site provide significant added benefits that would make a user want to visit this site in search results instead of the original source of the content?? If the answer is ?No,? the site may frustrate searchers and violate our quality guidelines. As with any violation of our quality guidelines, we may take action, including removal from our index, in order to maintain the quality of our users? search results. adultrock what is your affiliate website about? It's just a rhetorical question to lead to an example ...

Is your website about porn girls into rock-n-roll? Or, porn girls that rock-n-rollers would get off on. (You can substitute gay, lesbian or some niche content as well as any website theme (mission, purpose)) That might be an affiliate website of ''added value''. The website has a theme, a purpose, etc ...

If your website is just a bunch of links, thumbs or sponsor embed tools that are on 100's of affiliate websites then there is no added value there -- move to the back of the bus.

Your only purpose cannot be to just refer to a sponsor as an affiliate. Maybe better called an ''Affiliate Doorway Website''.

I agree with you, but something else worries me here.

Affiliates has the promo contonet (videos, photos) from Partner Programs, each video or gallery are fully described with unique text, and you are getting vistoros from Google, and they like it... but google may take action and deindex your website just because you are using the same promo content as hundreds of others affiliates.

I'm fine with actual spammers getting deindexed but I'm pretty sure hard working affiliates will get caught in the crossfire since nothing Google ever done has been any good to us.

Guys, what do you think about this?

It's been that way for a while. I don't think any of the inbound links you have as being a program owner are of any value because they are all encrypted or go to .secure or .join, so they are really direct links, but the fact that you are the source of the content and not someone just promoting it makes perfect sense. Just the same as if you were an Amazon affiliate promoting something at Amazon, of course Amazon is going to come up higher in the results.
