I think that genetically designed sex animals will be a more lucrative market. Imagine instead of having an ordinary pet, you have a being designed to maximize sexual pleasure while maintaining basic emotional exchange. A being imprinted to you that will be 100% loyal and designed exactly according to your wishes. Actually I think genetically designed pets in general will be a huge market in 10-20 years.

I will try to enter or create the market when DNA re-sequencing becomes more economically viable, just need to find a geneticist mad enough to help me!

They really should do an updated "epic blockbuster-style" remake of that Cherry2000 movie. Because back then we didn't know a 10th about computer and robotic technology that we do today, not to mention how far sci-fi movies themselves have progressed.

I'm not generally a fan of remakes but hells yes I'd see a movie like that.

I don't know if anyone would be brave enough to do it. We can have tons of movies with people getting their heads chopped off and skinned alive, but I doubt Hollywood would have the nuts to make a movie about a guy who travels across a post apocalyptic wasteland for a sex robot. It would be a good movie to remake, because the original is more of a B movie and kind of crappy -- but the premise is good. Didn't he fall in love with his guide, or something? Long time since I've seen it. That was back when Melanie Griffith didn't look like a monster.
