"The plane may have landed MH370" : Here we go again

The fruitless search for the missing Malaysian Airlines jet might have to start all over again from scratch if no clues to its fate are found in coming days, it was claimed today.
The international team searching the Indian Ocean for the Boeing 777 are now considering the seemingly impossible scenario of the aircraft having 'landed' somewhere, instead of crashing in the southern Indian Ocean.
'We may have to regroup soon to look into this possibility if no positive results come back in the next few days,' sources within the International Investigation Team were quoted as telling the New Straits Times today.

'The thought of it landing somewhere else is not impossible, as we have not found a single debris that could be linked to MH370,' sources were quoted as telling the paper.

'However, the possibility of a specific country hiding the plane when more than 20 nations are searching for it, seems absurd,' said the sources.
But they admitted that it was difficult to determine if the plane had really ended in the Indian Ocean, despite calculations seeming to point to that direction.

But we know that God exists and that there are other planets capable of supporting life...

I think the pilot landed it similar to the US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River. But this time it slowly sank leaving no debris.

Said to be impossible... swells are too big in the ocean. 15' average in Indian Ocean. The plane would have been broken to pieces leaving debri on the surface. Hudson River has no swells... like a smooth runway.

The biggest question I have is where it was going if indeed it crashed in the southern Indian Ocean where they are looking. If the goal was just to crash the thing into the ocean, why take it thousands of miles off course?

The government can listen to a phone call in the middle east, in the middle of the freaking desert, pin point an exact location, laser target a front door, and blow the entire place up with a drone flying overhead. But they can't find a 777 airplane.

With a free app, I can personally track the whereabouts of my family members pretty much anywhere in the world where there is a signal, which is pretty much everywhere.

The plane was full of people with phones, and at least 1/2 of them or more didn't turn them off when asked to. They never do, especially the Chinese. Even when turned off, they still give out a signal that can be tracked.

So if it's not at the bottom of the ocean, where is it? It boggles the mind to think that in 2014 they can lose a 777 plane and all of its passengers who ALL have tracking devices on them (phones). It's also scary that a plane can just fly off course without being noticed and then vanish into thin air.

If you had a family member on board, and with the way the search has went so far, would you be happy just to accept that and move on ??

My personal opinion based upon my years of having been a 1960s revolutionary.

There is no plane... Never was....

It is all pure bullshit being used to mask a large muliti nation joint military exercise. They are figuring out how to coridinate operations and develop command and communication structures in the event of a possible global conflict or simular situation.

Way too much media hype for it to be anything less.

Radar clearly showed the plane headed NW. I'll take that data over using some satellite pings and geometry.

oooh. An anonymous source from inside one of the worlds most inept governments who has literally never been able to keep their story straight about any of aspect this event has said something.

Totally agree. Governments know where it is they just wont say.

Apple and Google logs alone would say where those cell phones last broadcasted from before they went down. I bet 70% of that flight had their phones and tablets on when it went down.
Not to mention satellite imagery not seeing a huge plane in the middle of the ocean, it would be impossible for governments not to know where it is.

And no this is not some false flag conspiracy theory pulled out of my ass.

As it has nicely been pointed out that they can listen in on the phone conversations of entire nations, launch missles from off the deck of a ship 500 miles out at sea and blow up only a single house, pilot remote drones at mach 1 from the otherside of the planet...

But the combined military forces of several nations are unable to find a single passenger airplane?

Considering this search is costing a fortune and some of the military hardware being used is so top secret that reporters are not allowed to photograph the planes or talk about them...

The entire thing is just a joint military exercise.
Again in my personal opinion there never was a plane that went missing and the entire bullshit about passengers and their families is just that.. more bullshit.

the government's ability of listening in on phones has not 1 thing to do with flight mh370.

dang. Not sure how people make that leap.

Shit happens, sometimes it's weird. was watching an engineering disasters special the other day on the tacoma narrows bridge collapse, caught on film and everything, still took the smartest mother fuckers on this planet AND a shitton of computer AND 52 years- 52 years - to finally figure out what the fuck happened.

this is no different. there is a logical and reasonable explanation regardless of the government(s).

How often do we make the fake look real and get away with it?
And as an industry we suck at it. Now how hard would it be for some organization with money and resources to do it?

Think about it...
If they can spend several billion bucks on a spy plane they certainly are NOT going to have too many difficulties waging the dog. I would not be surprised if all the footage shown on the news was created by a handful of snot nosed computer geeks.

Regardless if there was or was not a plane....
Whatever the truth is they certainly are not going to tell us. So really this is a stupid debate.

This is easy to answer -

There are no cell phone towers in the ocean so no cell signals. No text messages, etc. Even onboard WiFi doesn't help because that is just signal from the device to the WiFi Router in the plane (a few feet). That router then needs to send by some onboard satellite transmitter system to modern digital satellites to ground to hit normal internet or phone systems.

Satellites that are modern, such as those used in the GPS on a phone or to carry digital data like Internet or TV, are not positioned down in that southern Indian Ocean because there is nothing there that calls for things like traffic directions, TV, etc.

Just a couple of mid-90s satellites cover that far south and they don't have the tech to do global positioning. They are just relays for messages from ships at sea and planes. Short messages, like text or email, that have nothing to do with positioning but more things like weather reports, condition of engines, things like that. The only time they are used for positioning is if the pilot types in a message, such as "We are one hour out of waypoint Harper22" (which never happened on this flight).

LOVED this spinoff!

If it were just a normal day, sure. But given the situation, I can't imagine it would be too difficult to reposition a few satellites. It has already been confirmed that US satellites already blanket that area of the world, even in the ocean. Even take the US out of it, other nations do the same thing.

However, I'm not saying they are in the bottom of the ocean giving out GPS pings on an iPhone. What I said was, the technology should be there to find them and it amazes me that they can not be found, yet they can find anyone else when they want to, in the desert, on a boat, in a hole in the ground, or even on a mountain.

All things considered, it's a bit mind boggling that between the US, China, Australia and all the private companies out there with insane tech on their hands, that no one can find this plane, and not a single piece of debris has been found.

The only time they are used for positioning is if the pilot types in a message, such as "We are one hour out of waypoint Harper22" (which never happened on this flight).
interesting. if you're correct that explains why nobody heard a thing from the passengers via smartphone/laptop.

after this tragedy we will have to put up more satellites so there's no place on the planet that isn't covered by GPS and connected to the Internet.

don't forget how fast shit can happen at 30,000ft and 600mph. There was that flight years ago with the pro golfer on it that went off course, controllers scrambled f16s who visually confirmed that the crew were dead in the cockpit and the plane was cruising. I can't recall what happened to knock out the crew and cabin so fast but the plane flew till it ran out of gas and crashed, everyone on it was already dead.

here's a blurb, plane crashed >1000 miles off course:::::::::::::

On October 25, 1999, a chartered Learjet 35 was scheduled to fly from Orlando, Florida to Dallas, Texas. Early in the flight, the aircraft, which was cruising at altitude on autopilot, quickly lost cabin pressure. All on board were incapacitated due to hypoxia ? a lack of oxygen.
The aircraft failed to make the westward turn toward Dallas over north Florida. It continued flying over the southern and midwestern United States for almost four hours and 1,500 miles (2,400 km). The plane ran out of fuel and crashed into a field near Aberdeen, South Dakota after an uncontrolled descent.

Diego Garcia is about 2400 miles north west of the search zone. Military satellites that see that area do not necessarily see to the south of there very far. Thier task is to support military operations north, in the gulf area, etc.

That wouldn't be civilian communications satellites such as those used for civil air traffic, TV, GPS, etc.

The USA is about 2800 miles wide across the center. Slightly bigger... yet Dish Network requires 6 satellites to cover it, Direct TV has 5. Both those services have spots they still do not reach even with 6 birds up there.

he had a home in Orlando at the time. After he died, Tracy McGrady bought it when he played for Orlando. A doctor friend of mine who was a real estate investor as well as had some other businesses then bought it. It's fucking unreal. 12,750 sq ft on a private lake. My friend is an uber tight ass and bought it mostly because his wife was in love with it. They got a divorce and all she wanted was their "dream house". So he agreed to give her the house in exchange for her interests in their business (Oncology Centers). Anyway... after about 1 year, she was hitting him up every other month trying to borrow money to pay for it, the taxes, upkeep etc... he continued growing the business and she got stuck with overwhelming debt, taxes and maintenance costs. It was on MTV teen cribs featuring his daughter. He said the architect submitted it to MTV

Don't forget China. They also have a lot of eyes in the sky, especially in areas close to them.

edit: sigh, sorry..

i thought the crash landing is 'being ruled out', on the basis they'd have found SOME debris at this point
