Sudden drop in mobile traffic?
I have experienced a sudden drop in mobile traffic. I have about 10% of the mobile traffic that I had. I was redirecting it via htaccess to a traffic broker. The traffic is from about 200 or so sites. The odd thing is... The rest of my traffic has not dropped at all. No drop whatsoever.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? My host says everything is fine. I tested sending the traffic to someone that wanted to buy it and he says the numbers are low too. I just can't figure out what has caused this to happen. I think if Google stopped sending mobile traffic to people redirecting that this place would be full of people complaining. I can't make sense of this at all. I'm receiving all other traffic just fine. |

Why are you redirecting your traffic for short term revenue? Build one kick ass mobile site, send it all there and watch it grow, sell your ads and probably make more money.

If you got some search traffic from Google and do 301/302 redirects in best case you got a lower position in worst remove from index and the result is drop of mobile traffic instead a growth.
Listen what Ross told you and do it. |

Yes this could be due search engine traffic drop,i did noticed a small drop of se traffic on desktop traffic and mobile se traffic is usually bigger then desktop se traffic.
And when it comes to alternative,if the shit become serious(but i dont think redirect is cause of this, more likely usual se fluctuation)i can still improvise by not redirect us mobile traffic and redirect all other,or atleast those one which bring serious money. |

The only difference I've noticed is the mobile traffic. All other traffic is the same. It was like a switch was turned off. All of a sudden it is gone. I've never seen anything like it.

You should check your sites are they indexed by typing info:domain.com -if no results back, then it is deindexed.Noticed one pattern, sites with stronger backlink profile weren't deindexed, only dropped in ranking while those with weak backlink profile were deindexed.

It depend howmuch revenue they will generate without any google traffic, meaning does it generate bigger revenue of registration fee or willing boundary (meaning how it should generate atleast 5$-10$ monthly otherwise it's a waste of time)

I've never used Google's webmaster tools before. I had a lot of sites that were deindexed. Would I benefit from adding them all and asking them to reconsider? It seems like a lost cause to me, but who knows.

I may give that a try. I have a lot of sites and that is my concern. Too many sites would look too spammy to them. But, at this point there isn't much to lose.
