I know that a lot of the webcam sites work for mobile, but do the users convert on it?

Do your ratios of clicks to conversions compare to desktop?

i love desktop :D . many people don’t know how to use site on desktop let alone mobile .

Our mobile uses a very high speed HLS for Android an iPhone/iPad or Flash if that device supports/allows it (most mobile don't).

It converts more and more as the market increases for mobile and non-Flash. We have increased our mobile site's traffic and sales exponentially in the past couple of years.

I have not done too much promoting of webcams but I just put up a pop under and the model bar widget for the desktop version of my sites. It has generated a lot more traffic over the past few days but has not monetized yet.

Yes, I think mostly it is because mobile conversions = 18 year olds. Cam sales = 30+ year olds.

Yea, desktop usually converts better in the end than desktop. Its a strong generalization though.

Although the cams reps here eat a lot of bullshit when it comes to mobile I could say that for AWE mobile converts 1:3000 and for desktop 1:700 or 1:1000 . I've talked to another guy that promotes cams a lot and he said that mobile conversion are crap.

Also from my own experience X-love coverts better on mobile for European users because they have specific mobile payment solution but in the end the conversion numbers are not a lot better.

My take is that when surfing porn from mobile surfers are either in public places, or with other persons, or maybe at the toilet and so on. They don't have a credit card near them or other payment methods so they just restrict themselves to just watching it but not paying for it...

I just tested our stream on the Samsung s4 Android the HLS stream works -- we have Flash, HLS, JS image stream on various mobile devices -- JS image stream is the fallback. None of this matters in a year or two it will all be in HTML5. We shouldn't blame ourselves for the fragmentation of the operating systems and interoperability of mobile devices -- that is the fault of the vendors.

For the record:

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.2.2; en-us; SAMSUNG GT-I9502 Build/JDQ39) AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/1.0 Chrome/18.0.1025.308 Mobile Safari/535.19 receives a HLS stream I just tested it. Note the browser^

Try with the Chrome Mobile Browser on the newer Android devices.

Payment platforms for mobile devices are also fragmented. We have fully integrated credit card payment along with alternative payments in cascade solutions -- the same as that on our PC site. The fact that mobile phone security with regard to payments like credit cards is questionable is not my doing -- again it is the operating systems and middleware -- this is beyond our control as web developers/web business operators.

Mobile wallets that are being developed will limit security exploit exposure but the operating/middleware issues will always be there and all the apps in use, with some that are fake named trojans found in the wild or those apps that come as email attachments, is real reason for worry. Of course if you are using a Windows desktop (<rolls eyes>) what's the issue :P

In light of this payment issue our customers can choose to reload their accounts on a PC if they prefer then access their credits for private shows from their member account. Their member account credits are also available on our mobile site should they feel they would prefer doing business (buying private shows) that way. USA mobile carriers do not make mobile payments available, knowingly, to porn or adult entertainment websites -- mobile payments, SMS or other, are available to our European customers -- USA customers will need to use credit cards or 3rd party wallet solutions for any adult entertainment website -- so in that local market we are all in the same boat.
