Are you saying people should stop registering names because "all available are not good names"?
As for godaddy, I agree, they cut down coupons so best is to transfer them after few months.

well it depends on the purpose, if you have a clear plan to start a website about something, then register what remained left but if the plan is to register random domains just because they are 2$ in the hope to sell them big time after 6 months, then...

I get some pretty good, and surprisingly available domains fairly regularly. Just have to look and be patient.
Last night, for example.

Funny godaddy story...on phone w my GoDaddy Premiere Account Rep last night & guy told me that he had a longtime client who was gna retire (mainstream) and owned SEATBELT.COM , the guy was gna let it just drop. Then he even offered to GIVE it to the godaddy rep, which the rp told him he cant ethically do, especially because it could be very valuable...he convinced the domain owner to put it in the godaddy auctions thingy...and it sold for $38,000

1. Use Google to lookup $1.99 or $0.99 codes for Godaddy
2. Register domain
3. Transfer to Namecheap or Namesilo at the end of the year
4. Repeat!

I've probably registered about 30-40 domains for around $2 or less each this year just using the fuck ton of promo codes Godaddy puts out (and if you use their direct links on Google that gives you even more!). There's absolutely no reason to not take advantage of these offers because you can easily transfer the domains to Namecheap, Namesilo, or somewhere else or just drop the domain.

Also...Google Domains is giving out free domains with free privacy and other sweet features if you get into their beta...I'm loving Google Domains so far.

Amen, what a super douche.

Here is a 20% off coupon at http://webhost.pro it's good for domains and all products for new customers. Domains are $10.99 before the coupon.
