Anyone know how to make one of these?
Anyone have any ideas of the parts used? I wouldn't use steal, I think I'd use plywood. I really want to make this for my studio this week. It's amazing what people can do with the luxury of time, to think.

I do not think plywood is rigid enough in this case. Maybe Fiber Board.
Machined aluminum (jacketed for heating/cooling exchanger purposes) would be a light-weight alternative material. Hardware, lots of spacers or washers, maybe a ball bearing assembly or 4, are going to be the key otherwise.
