Not exactly a riddle, but see if you can guess...
Exactly 24 years ago today, at aproxx this time of day, I was driving a bit like a lunatic in my car...
Very fast, and going through red lights etc, then I got stopped by the police ! I said one sentence to them, and instead of getting a ticket, I got a police escort! Why? (True story) . |

Yep, you got it... I was driving my wife to the hospital to give birth....
What the police DIDNT know, was that in preparation of the happy event, I had filled my spare room with the entire contents of a liquor store... When her waters broke, I started drinking - Then, after she started hitting me, weeping and sobbing, and saying FFS!!!! I lept into the car... The sentence I TRIED to said to the police, was "My Wife Is Having A BABY" - But I *think* it came out as 'Blurddy bluuby blas gravy'... They looked into the car, and saw the empty seat, and said 'What Wife?' So I got an escort to go back, pick her up, and drive her to the prostitute. But all was good - He survived, and has just left my house ! After behaving like a tornado in my kitchen, and robbing all the cupboards of food  Seems like a few days ago though... Not 24 years !!!  |
