Alas closed in 2008 due to high sulphur emissions, however, used the best clays in the world, the LBC, do to the seaweed in the clay, giving little need for coal. The Stewartby Brickworks created good jobs & high brick outlay.

& still continued to remain a pretty country, even around industrial areas

As with all of Britain, quality is important. You can huff, puff, but you won't blow British homes down.

And continues to protect it's history & beauty

what does 'farm' mean? in North America a farm is land out in the country on which farmers raise livestock and grow and harvest crops.

Probably find 150 years ago or so it was a farm. London is just a collection of villages that all ended up linked.
