Paxum & Circle Asking for Routing Numbers {UK}

I have $266 in a paxum account that has been stuck there the best part of 6 months. Despite best efforts to jump through all their hoops I was unable to comply and the final hurdle was providing a routing number.
I spoke to my bank, the UK don't use or need a routing number.
Anyway, the only way I can withdraw the funds owed is via cheque which means Paxum and my bank will charge me.
I did contact Paxum to get this resolved but they were little help.

So now I am waiting for payment from Paxum which if I had just selected check from my sponsor would have come months ago and I have to pay twice.

I also tried to add a bank account to circle. I was asked for a routing number. They say this is for the USA and they cannot accept linked bank accounts from other countries..

Just submit your IBA instead and see what happens.

'routing number identifies the bank or the branch of the bank in America
so to be sure that the payment is done to the right account both numbers must be indicated - routing can also be called ABA.
In Europe this number is included in the iban nr which identifies
bank
branch
account '

seems to be the best explanation

ahh, missed the last bit of your post

The problem is that my bank says a routing number is 9 digits but my IBAN contains 13 characters (letters and numbers(. I tried to submit that and it didn't work.

there's IBAN and then there's SWIFT - with those two every bank should be able to handle this. And every bank should be able to provide this too.

I have a horrid feeling that I'm about to jump into the same loop except I've yet to even manage to get my account verified - Paxum are not at all UK friendly, the insist upon government issued photo ID but I don't have one, my passport is out of date and my valid drivers licence is the old issue paper one that doesn't require a photo (still legal). I don't have/need or are entitled to any other UK government issued photo I.D. so I'm stuck at how I can access my cash too.

maybe talk to your sponsor and explain the problem, get paxum to refund the sponsor, get sponsor to issue check?

other than that, there seems to be some weirdness with iban/swift.. i am not sure if the swift has the same amount of digits as routing*edit

can you believe this is still an issue in this day and age? hate banks.

.. in regards to both being 'of same use', while others are talking about them being different.

I also had to hold my ID to the laptop computer and take a photo with me in the photo.
I initially submitted proof of address but it was also rejected due to being a couple of days past 6 months.

Hi clickity click,

We have many customers located in the UK using our EFT withdrawal option without any issue.

UK customers can withdraw by Wire, EFT (in GBP currency), Cheque, or via the optional Paxum Payroll card.

The information we request is standard, and most banks are able to provide our customers with the correct information needed to confirm the bank account. I'm sorry you encountered difficulties with our system.

Ruth

Hey rogueteens,
We require Picture ID and Proof of address for all Paxum clients to be able to pass verification. If you are unable to do this, and you have funds in your Paxum account, you can either Reverse the payment (by logging in to your Paxum account and visiting your account statement), or you can open a ticket in the Message Center to request that we reverse the payment for you.
Thanks for giving us a try.
Ruth

For clarity, Paxum does not base things around our US clients only. Paxum is an international company serving global clientele.

Proof of address will not be a problem but a photo I.D. will (I have tons of I.D. but nothing with a photo - In the UK, apart from driving licences, I cannot think of any other government issue forms of I.D. in general use that uses photos and like I said, my licence is one of the older but still legal non-photo issued ones. EDIT - oh, yeah , and passports too). I don't really have a choice here about using Paxum as the sponsor will only use them, I've already tried (and failed) to get payment via another method from them.

If you need Paxum to get paid, and that's what they need, then either renew your passport or change to a photocard license. If you don't need Paxum to get paid, stay as you are.

I think Paxum are sometimes too rigid in their initial requirements which probably keeps out as many good customers for them as bad, but if it is within your capability to give them what they want then overall it is probably worth it if you want to be paid quickly and cheaply by sponsors.

your passport is out of date and you complain in here like a 14 years old schoolboy

its sure hard to deal anonymous with paxum , different times then with epassporte, but at the other end they seem to be more stable then previous payment services and im more then happy they give schlonks like you a hard time abusing their system

Get one of those 'Young Drinker' cards that kids use to prove they are old enough to purchase alcohol?

Cheap, contain a photo and are government issued... Cost about £15

Your bank will either have a SWIFT or BIC code unless it's a US one. Even so, almost every single bank can wire money based on the banks name, location, your (full) name and your bank account number. They just need to do it manually.

IBAN is your international account number and almost every bank in the wold uses it now, used to be an EU standard only but since it was kinda smart, most banks jumped on the wagon. But I guess there are still some in dark on that one.

It's £20 to change to a photocard licence and free if you also need to change your address.
